The Composition of Three Novels by Jan Otčenášek
Soukupová, Veronika ; Špirit, Michael (advisor) ; Holý, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis concerns with the composition of selected novels by Jan Otčenášek. It tries to demonstrate author's homogeneous method of arranging the actions, which lead from exposition, a hero's crisis and a following act to a shift in his opinion and lastly to his final attitude. Besides the common constructing principles, the thesis also reflects features which enrich his later works. The applied interpretative and analytical method is based on a briefly described definition of the term composition.

Stollová, Anna ; Komberec, Filip (advisor) ; Neumann, Lukáš (referee)
The submitted diploma thesis deals with the didactic interpretation of the novella Romeo, Julie a tma in high school. The aim of the first part is to collect and evaluate professional literature on literary historical and theoretical aspects of the selected work and its context. Attention is also paid to other works that the author published before this novel (Plným krokem, Občan Brych) or thematically related to it (Kulhavý Orfeus). The next part of the work deals with the interpretation of the text and its position in literary education, the concept of which is defined in the framework of educational plan for gymnasium. At the same time, this work tries to reflect how the concept is reproduced in school educational practice. The practical part is then devoted to the interpretive analysis of the novel, processed according to the model of the Czech Book Seminar (Seminář České knižnice), grounded on the areas of analysis (based on the structure of oral Czech language and literature Maturita exam). Child´s Hero in an Extreme Situation
KLACKOVÁ, Jana
This dissertation is devoted to the topic of Child{\crq}s hero in an extreme situation inspired predominantly by the Czech literature of the 1950{\crq}s and 1960{\crq}s. The essential material for my work was works of the following Czech authors: Arnošt Lustig, Karol Sidon, Josef Fuks, Jan Otčenášek, Ludvík Aškenazy a J.R.Pick. Besides them I also used books by the French writer Romain Rolland which I compared to the Czech works. The dissertation is divided into two parts. In the first part I devote myself to the concept of extreme situation itself. I try to define this concept from the point of view of psychology as well as to show its concrete manifestation in individual works. The second part deals with interpretations of the works in the framework of which I explore the issue of an extreme situation.
