This thesis entitled "Proposal and examination of information system for property developers in Brno" is a proposal of information system for property developers, who want to invest in Brno and nearby region. First part of thesis maps local market of commercial and administrative properties in Brno, compares it to other markets in Central Europe and determine future development. Second part proposes information system and looks for an ideal solution in already deployed information system. The aim of this thesis is to propose optimal information system, which would help to increase investment to commercial estates in Brno region.

Comparison of investment opportunities in the financial markets

This thesis deals with the characteristics of investment opportunities of an investor and compares them according to selected indicators, profitability, risk and liquidity. Firstly, the basic terms of investment characteristics and selected indicators are explained and characterized. This thesis examines various investment options and their suitability for specific types of investors. Then it is focused on evaluation of profitability, risk and liquidity of the selected investments. The specific rating methods based on the indicators are applied to some investment products. Based on the performed calculations, the suitability of individual investment products as well as the creation of a portfolio for selected types of investors are evaluated and the ideal investment strategy is chosen in the final part.

The yield, risk and liquidity of investment options

This diploma thesis is devoted to the topic of yield, risk and liquidity of investment possibilities. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part is based on a thorough study of specialized literature. Attention is initially focused on the definition and the characteristics of investments, then the issue of the financial market and its segments is clarified. The following chapter discusses investment strategies and the creation of rational investment portfolios. The theoretical part concludes with the description of selected possibilities of individual and collective investment. The practical part of the thesis is initially focused on the characteristics of two different types of investors A and B and the creation of their individual risk profiles. This section is based on information gained from the unstructured interview with two independent investors. Eventually, the reader is familiarized with selected possibilities of collective investment and their assessment in terms of yield, risk and liquidity. This chapter is primarily processed by analysis of data obtained from the websites of selected investment companies. Data are processed through Microsoft Excel with the help of selected functions. The study results in recommendations of optimal investment strategies in form of the compilation and the assessment of several investment portfolios for both Investor A and Investor B.

Personal finance, investment opportunities and conventions in the CR

We are living in the era of financial uncertainty and high volatility on financial markets. According to some experts, these circumstances will have a significant impact on the investment conventions of Czech investors in the future. Economists are afraid of even stronger conservatism and skepticism on the field of investment tools. The gab between the yield of Czech and American or Australian family portfolio will be most probably deepen thanks to this. My master thesis has the goal to briefly define financial products which are available for Czech investors. Furthermore I also explain reasons of significant differences between the average portfolio of assets and credits of Czech, eastern and western European family.
