Extension Module with IR Communication Interface

This work is concerned with design of wireless extending module for the FITkit platform. The module is based on infrared communication. In this work the module itself is created, the components for the FPGA circuit are done and the software for the MCU is implemented. Additionally it is made possible to transmit or recieve codes of remote controllers for consumer electronics in variants of the NEC format.

This bachelor's degree work is focused on a design of wireless communication application and its implementation with a microcontroller RS08KA, which could be further used for modelling accesories. The main aim of this work is to create an affordable hardware; the components used are selected with regard to this fact.
