Folk song in Horácko and its use in school and out of school activities of children

The first part of the bachelor thesis titled Folk song in Horácko and its use in both in school and out of school activities of children, it deals with folk songs from the perspective of collecting, categorising, themes and music theory. The second part deals with the problem of in school and out of school activities of children. Although Horácko in comparison with other folk areas it is not very well known, many collectors, teachers of music, supervisors of out of school activities and leaders of folk groups help to keep traditions. The bachelor thesis also includes the analysis of three educational programs of schools which belong to the Horácko area. There is also an analysis of the most used music books at schools for the practical application an example of a lesson where folk song of Horácko is taught is included. In the area of out of school activities the bachelor thesis deals with work of school facilities for leisure education, art schools, explores children's folk groups and give a list of the most popular folk festivals where children from Horácko participate regularly.
Folk groups in Horácko and their effect on child's interest in folk song

A thesis Folk groups in Horácko and their influence on the child's interest in folk song follows my bachelor thesis Folk song in Horácko and its use in school and out of school activities of children. The aim of this thesis is to determine the effect of the folk groups on the children's interest in regional folk song and to create a set of worksheets and teachers sheets, which may help teachers to teach about regional culture. The first part of the thesis deals with maping and a brief characteristic of child folk groups in Horácko, their location, number of children in primary school age and a chracteristic of music and textual side of folk songs. The second part is an analysis of questionnaire construction in elementary schools in region Horácko, specifically in region Vysočina, which is dominant for this ethnographic region. It focuses on the research whether there is a folk group, whether children can attend folk group in their surroundings and what effect that has on the perception of regional folk song, their knowledge, favor or tolerance. The last part includes worksheets for children and methodical sheets for teachers that are thematicaly focussed on individual parts of the year. Horácký folklore in preschool education

My thesis focuses on the Horácko folklore and its use in the preschool education process. The thesis analyses the specifics of Horácko region, its dances, songs, children and nursery rhyming games. Further on, I try to describe and characterize division of the region, folk costumes, dances and songs typical for Horácko, as well as children games, local customs and traditions perpetuated by local folklore companies today.
