Mobile applications development for remote control of instrumentation

The presented work describes the growing trend of using mobile devices to control laboratory instruments and displaying of measured data. The main objective is the application development for mobile devices, which will allow to remotely control and measure with laboratory instruments. The practical part is focused to programming mobile application which will be able by using the local network to connect multiple laboratory instruments, setting them for different types of measurements and then display measured data.

Corporate culture of Hewlett-Packard

This thesis deals with the corporate culture of the company Hewlett-Packard. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts and consists of five main chapters. The ami is to explain what the corporate culture is and acquaint the reader with a corporate culture of HP. My aim is also to determinate the type of corporate culture of this company according to R. Marr and establish a typology of culture by T. B. Deal and A. A. Kennedy. Based on the survey I analyzed the strength and type of corporate culture.

This paper deals with a comparison of branch offices' position in the field of high-tech industry in the Czech Republic and the USA on the example of HEWLETT-PACKARD, Ltd. The paper includes the description of an innovative environment for high-tech entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic and the USA and the comparison of the specific branches' position on the markets of those countries. Thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The first part embraces the information about the significance of the high-tech technology, the definition of high-tech sector and high-tech entrepreneurship and the characteristics of the innovative environment in the selected countries. The practical part includes the comparison of the branches' position of Hewlett-Packard on the Czech and the U.S. markets and analysis which is based on the conclusion from the comparison. The goal of this thesis is to collect the information regarding the high-tech sector and innovative environment of the selected courtiers into a consistent whole, and to analyze the specific branches' position of the company, which is operating in this area
Organizational behavior of different generations

Topic of this diploma thesis is organizational behavior of various generations with focus on the youngest generation which is present in the workplace. This generation is called Generation Y. The goal is to prove or overcome presumption that Generation Y is very different from previous generations, has different values, working and life style and that organizations will have to put a lot of effort to be able to manage this generation effectively. Thesis include description of graduate strategy which is implemented at Hewlett-Packard. In the end is overall recommendation for companies how effectively lead Generation Y and specific recommendation for Hewlett-Packard, related to current company strategy.
Analasis of implementation of Customer-Self Repair project in Hewlett-Packard

The aim of this diploma paper is to analyze the Customer Self-Repair project in Hewlett-Packard especially from costs and savings point of view that can be expected after the implementation of procedural changes that had to be made in the course of the project, while also indicate where mistakes were made from the perspective of project management and make suggestions on possible improvements in the future. The theoretical and methodological part is summed up a general theory concerning the problems of project management. The third chapter focuses on the practices of project management in the company, the definition stage the project should undergo and the criteria that should meet in order to pass the approval process. In the analysis of the project itself is captured the service model for the repairs of personal computers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Than identification of error and procedural complications that occurred during the project. . At the end of this chapter is an analysis of actual savings and costs that can be realistically expected in the closing phase of the project. The last chapter contains a summary and suggestions for management of future projects in the company.

The thesis concentrates on a business valuation of Hewlett-Packard s.r.o., the Czech subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Company, the world leading provider of IT goods and services. The thesis includes complex strategic analysis with detailed company inside and outside potential and market forecast. The financial analysis evaluates financial situation of the company, financial plan and a final valuation based on DCF entity method and market approach based on the price trend of publicly negotiable stocks of the parent company.
