Analysis of Czech and German secondary vocational education

The bachelor thesis "Analysis of Czech and German secondary vocational education" deals with the educational systems in both countries, focusing on secondary vocational education. In the first part of the paper, educational systems of both countries are presented in relation to the legislative framework as well as to the political debate on their possible changes. In the second part of the thesis, both systems of the secondary vocational education are thoroughly analyzed. The third part of the thesis consists of a case study that describes the collaboration between the company Gerresheimer Horšovský Týn and the Vocational School Domažlice. This cooperation leads to the adoption of some elements of German dual education system (Duale Ausbildung) into the Czech system of vocational education. At this point, the analysis is accompanied also by the examination of the reflection of this activity in the local newspaper called Domažlický deník. This Diploma thesis called "Quality management in selected company" explores the current state of the quality management system in a selected organization. It was Gerresheimer Horšovský Týn, spol. s. r. o. The company produces inhalers, insulin pens and other plastic products for medical industry. The term quality is currently being used more and more frequently. In order, for a company to be successful and to compete on the market, it is necessary to pay great attention to quality. The first part of this thesis is a review of literature. It is devoted to the definition of basic concepts of quality management. In the next part there is a description of the selected company and its established quality management system. Finally, after the detection of the current conditions and identifying deficiencies of the quality management system are at this Diploma thesis suggested recommendations that could lead to improvement of the current situation at the company.

The Application of Lean Production Methods at the Enterprise

This Bachelor thesis explores lean production methods used at manufacturing plant of the Gerresheimer company in Horšovský Týn. The company produces inhalers, insulin pens and other plastic products for medical industry. The lean production is one of the modern approaches in production management. It is aimed at increasing in production effeciency and waste minimization. The waste means all activities which do not add any value to the product and rise its costs. The thesis evaluates an activity of the selected company on the basis of specific lean production methods and a long-term analysis of the workplace. It focuses primarily on the 5S Method. Finally, after the detection of the current conditions, austerity measures are suggested to possible improvements of 5S Method. There is also a suggestion how to introduce 5S Method in a small enterprise.

The goal of this master thesis is to appraise the medical plastic systems producer Gerresheimer Horsovsky Tyn spol. s r.o. as of July 1, 2012 with the purpose of selling the company to an unknown buyer. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part there are defined all the important theoretical aspects and methods for business valuation used in this thesis. In the second, practical, part theory is applied to the particular company. Firstly, the appraised company is introduced followed by its strategic and financial analysis, value generators, and financial plan. The core valuation methods used are the two phase discounted cash flows method and the comparable companies method. At the end, the estimated business value is discussed.
