Looking back at life
KAVKOVÁ, Adriana
The old age is a life balance sheet period. The seniors assess their existing life at this age - especially they are considering whether they have experienced life as they imagined; they look for the results they have left behind and they evaluate their mistakes that they have made on the their life road. The bachelor thesis focuses on the retrospective view of seniors´ lifes. Support for the chosen topic is the issue of old age and aging; the starting point is Erikson's concept of old age, especially the space of the eighth and ninth age and their developmental tasks. Furthermore, the concept of quality of life is introduced. The practical part focuses on the life stories of our respondents. It focuses on mapping the events that they consider as the most important in their life; which events they evaluate as valuable and positive, but also if there is an event or something they regret. Qualitative research is realized through in-depth interviews with female seniors.
Transformation of adult children's relationships to their mother suffering from dementia
PECNOVÁ, Iveta
The relationship between mother and child is significantly influenced by the development of the personality of the two participants. In the event that the mother suffers dementia that changes her personality, her decline can be assumed to be accompanied by a transformation in interfamilial relationships. This baccalaureate thesis presents the specific life situations of two generations connected by a maternal bond. Attention is first focused on the sick mother, whose illness is detailed in the theoretical portion of the paper. The research also focuses on the family and the experiences of its members. The children gradually adapt to their roles of caregivers while coping with many difficulties and their own suffering. The practical part of the paper examines how the relationship is experienced from the point of view of the adult child. The chosen qualitative study method maps the experiences of children and their mother's transformation. The group being studied consists of eight participants, whose mothers are hospitalized in a gerontopsychiatric unit due to the advanced stage of their disease. The data was gathered through unstructured interviews and then analyzed using the "case card" method. An analysis of the testimonies of daughters and sons of seriously ill women made it possible to describe how the children's roles changed in the relationship and how they perceived their mothers' illnesses. The children notice that the mutational emotional relationship changed as a result of the onset of their mothers' dementia. The results also show that children experienced strong feelings of guilt about their mothers' situations.

HÁZOVÁ, Andrea
Peculiarities in the approach of radiological assistents to the examination of elderly patiens This bachelor thesis shows issues concerning the radiological worker in relation to older people. The title of the work is to specialize in radiology assistant access to seniors. I focused mainly on the need for diagnostic imaging in geriatric patients. These tests are for geriatric patients very important and beneficial in detecting and early identification accurate diagnosis. They are not demanding for the patient and burdensome. The theoretical part deals with a relatively detailed analysis of the life of the elderly in the Czech Republic, the behavior of geriatric patients and the development of his psyche. One chapter is devoted to the mystification of the dangers of digital imaging techniques and the use of contrast agents. Another part is devoted to radiation protection. It also happens that the employee is unwilling, unresponsive to patient and treats him accordingly. So I said examples of good and bad behaviour in hospitals. The old client needs special care which has become a problem for many people. The research part of the thesis has been compiling statistics on the use of diagnostic imaging in geriatric patients in private internal department. In the table are listed the initials of the patient: sex, age, primary diagnosis, type of diagnostic imaging, insurance, the cost of the method and the total price. The results obtained showed that a large proportion of the population uses the most conventional method of radiography, which is not challenging for patients. Traditional radiography, commonly known as the imaging is used in Central Europe from the 2nd half of 90th o f the 20 th century.
