Relationship between government debt and sovereign rating

A main focus of this thesis is a relationship between government debt and rating of a respective country. The first chapter forms a theoretical basis and deals with a general characteristics of rating for all economic subjects, introduction of the three most important rating agencies and last but not least with government debt. The theoretical part is followed by a description of government debt's development and rating of the Czech Republic. An application part of the thesis conducts a basic analysis of relationship between government debt and rating and subsequently the core analysis using a specific framework from a rating agency.
Comparation of development of the state debt of the Czech republic and the Slovak republic in 1993-2016 with regard to the impact of the government

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the amount and the development of public debt between the years 1993 and 2016, which is represented by the state debt in the case of the Czech Republic and, in the case of the Slovak Republic, the debt of the public administration. Account is taken of the budgetary and fiscal policy set by individual governments based on their own ideological status. The theoretical part of the thesis defines mainly public finances, fiscal policy and the budgetary system - the substantial part of the budgetary system is the state budget. The practical part is divided into periods corresponding to political cycles. In each period the political and macroeconomic situation prevailing in individual countries is always characterized. That´s why it´s easier to understand the development of the state budget. The state budget is subsequently evaluated in sum with regard to the political and other factors influencing it. The final chapter of the practical part contains the analysis and comparison of the development of the public debt. On the basis of these facts conclusions are drawn and expressed hypotheses are verified.
The Debt of the Czech Republic as a Public Policy Problem

This thesis deals with public debt of the Czech Republic as a public policy problem. Its main objective is to propose solutions that would lead to a systemic and long-term solution to balance public finances. The first part deals with the definitions of terms that are necessary for subsequent analysis. In the second part the CR debt is set to the theory of public policy problem, the third part deals with the analysis of CR public debt. The analysis focuses on the emergence and development from its beginning to the present trends, characteristics and main issues of public debt CR. The analysis is based mainly on statistics issued by the Ministry of Finance and Czech Statistical Office. Last part is based on an analysis of CR public debt and its task is to design a system solution for it, which would lead to long-term balanced budgets. The author would like to help to expand the current information about this topic with this thesis, which affects not only Czech Republic but almost the entire world.
Comparation analisys of the Visegrad groups states development of the public sector debt from 2004 to 2014

This work focuses on the analysis and comparison of the Visegrad groups states development of the public sector debt from 2004 to 2014. The subject of the theoretical part is the public debt which includes the public budget, deficit and public revenue and expenditure. The theoretical part further explains stability evaluation connected with credit rating, the Maastricht criteria and the Fiscal compact. The work concludes that the largest problem with economies of the Visegrad group has Hungary. The data is based on the significant impact on public debt have public deficits that arise due to mismanagement. The essential problem, namely Hungary, is the low stability of the economy, which significantly responds to global economic problems.
The financing of central government deficit through the issue of bonds

This diploma thesis deals with financing of central government deficit through the issue of government bonds and with overall context which is inextricably linked with this area. There is defined and discussed a basic terminology in terms of bond, budget system, budget deficit and public debt in the introductory theoretical chapters. We can find a description of development and management of central government debt in the Czech Republic in the next practical chapter of this diploma thesis. The gross borrowing requirements of the Czech Republic are largely covered by issue of government bonds and also by savings government bonds since 2011. The last chapter is devoted to the description of the process of a new euro-denominated issue of government bonds which is again shown on the example of the Czech Republic and its Ministry of Finance.
Consolidated general government debt of the Czech Republic in the context of EU until 2012

The thesis deals with general government debt of the Czech Republic in the context of the European Union. It aims to objectively assess current situation and future prospects of the Czech Republic in terms of consolidated general government debt in the first place and general government deficit in the second place. The theoretical part explains economic terms and categories related to the main topic. It clarifies basic concepts such as general government debt, its structure, national accounts methodology, debt service or rating. The next part deals with the analysis of general government debt of the Czech Republic. First, it examines the debt of the Czech Republic separately and then in the context of the European Union. In this part of the thesis we should also find out the answer to the main question concerning assessment of the status and prospects of general government debt of the Czech Republic. Methods that are used in the analytical part are realized on the basis of current statistical data from Eurostat and the Czech Statistical Office.

The General government debt development is very discussed and present topic nowadays. The worldwide bad situation caused by strong growth of the public debt is being worsened due to the present economic crisis. The main goal of this diploma is to analyze the development of the General government debt of all the member states of the European Union in the first decade of the 21. century, to evaluate the main aspects of the public debt and to predict its possible future development.
The fiscal policy analysis in phase of "budget responsibility" and their impacts on social security area

The goal of this thesis is focusing on analysis of fiscal arrangements that has been passed by the government in accordance with the public budget stabilization act, which should be proper reaction to improve bad development in public finance of the Czech Republic and in general government debt, which has been mainly caused by increasing of the mandatory social expenditures. After defining the main essence of the public finance theory, the work is focusing on quantify and evaluate the main effects of reform arrangements divided into three main parts, such as effects of taxation, effects of social sphere and effects of the health finance. The period of the concern of this analysis is the year of 2008, first year of reform arrangements validity. After evaluation, the next part of the interest is public deficit and the analysis of general government debt. The main aim is to define what are the basic factors, which affects the ratio of government debt on GDP nominal called as "relative ratio of government debt" The thesis also includes a few calculations of how the relative ratio could be if we change some of factors of determination of the model.
