This thesis has been created for the purpose of comparing calculated values by oscilloscope and by Excel. There is also introduced the procedure calculating the maximum generated power by using macros in Excel. For this it was necessary to show a theory of electrical values of non-sinusoidal and aperiodic signal. There has been shown the methods of measuring of power consumption on motor operator for acquisition of relevant data. My thesis brings a wide overview, which is connected with motor operators. I am analyzing a principle of motor operator, methods of right measuring and I am describing a transfer of kinetic energy from driving motor to contacts of circuit breaker

Multivariate data projections

Projection pursuit is searching for "interesting" (nonnormal) projections of multivariate data via optimization of index that calculates distance of estimated density from the density of a given probability distribution. Density is approximated by using the orthonormal polynomials and Fourier coefficients. Fourier coefficients of the estimated density can be expressed as expected value and therefore their estimate is calculated using the sample mean. Maximizing the established natural Hermite index, ie. the square of the difference of Fourier coefficients, we find "the most interesting" linear combination of multivariate data.
