John Mathesius and Joachimsthal

This thesis deals with a Lutheran preacher and rector of a Latin School - Johannes Mathesius. He was a close friend of Martin Luther and also a rector and later on a preacher in Jachymov. This was a border mining town in the Ore Mountains in the Czech Kingdom. The thesis also deals with the economic, political and cultural impacts which formed the life of this town during its greatest fame associated with the mining of silver ore. Johannes Mathesius was connected with this town and its events and he contributed to its cultural and religious rise in the spirit of a reformative belief. The thesis deals with the personal and creative life of Johannes Mathesius and his work.

Chateau Zákupy under influence of Ferdinand V This bachelor's thesis focuses on Ferdinand V. and his reign on chateau Zákupy, which is the main subject of my interest and of this work. Because Ferdinand V. had a major importance in the Zákupy region, I dedicated part of this work to his life and reign. Ferdinand V. was the last crowned Czech king and he chose chateau Zákupy as his major summer residence. As the chateau was supposed to represent his person and status properly, it was rebuilt by significant artists and craftsmen of its time. This work is focusing on the original state of the chateau Zákupy, its reconstruction, equipment and decoration.

The symbols gallery in chorus of Prags cathedral This thesis expleins about a heraldic decoration under a inner triforium of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. This decoration, which began to form from the Renaissance, is veluable but it was offer overlooked. This decoration is set containing 38 provincial symbols. This thesis shows a context between symbols and a decoration of the metropolitan templ. This work is completed by contexts of history and by exploring of style evolution in art history. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe process of the structural development of the Queen Anne's Summer Palace at Prague Castle, with the emphasis on the period in years 1538-1564, including the formal description of the building.
