Support from ESF is provided for tertiary education. There is an effort to improve, to develop new field of study and to make tertiary education more attractive. Theoretic part deals with problems associated with unemployment and explanation of terms, which are connected with it. The functioning of ESF is explained and the characteristic of programming period 2007-2013 are described. Practical Part in this part I focus on the meeting the main object. This section is devoted to characteristic Operation program Education for Competitiveness (ECOP) in South-Czech region. The disposition of unemployment, the number of job vacancies and graduates of this group are presented there. Thanks to it I can answer if moving of the number of graduates upward is caused by the moving of the number of jobs seekers upward and if graduates find assertion on labour market or are unemployment.
