Optimization of Thermally Activated Building Structures
Oravec, Jakub ; Kalousek, Miloš (referee) ; Čekon, Miroslav (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis deals with the modelling, analysis and optimization of thermally activated foundation piles using the in-house developed numerical software Epile. A sensitivity analysis of short energy piles was performed and a deep regression neural model was developed to predict the energy gain of the pile. A Bayesian optimization method was implemented to find the optimal parameters of the energy piles in order to maximize the financial and energy gain.
Simulation of thermally activated foundation structures of buildings
Sliva, Matěj ; Adam, Pavel (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with geothermal foundations. The aim of the thesis is to find optimal way of pipe winding for heat-carrying liquid in foundation piles. The problem is solved by CFD simulations in ANSYS Fluent. Determinative parameters like the pressure loss, heat fluxes and U-value in one pile circuit with two ways of pipe installations – Single coil, where reverse pipe is led in the middle of pile and Duplex Coil with reverse pipe in spiral shape are observed.
Energy Piles
Buzgóová, Ivana ; Miča, Lumír (referee) ; Boštík, Jiří (advisor)
In the first part of bachelor thesis, a concept of energy pile is explained and also basic information about usage of geothermal energy, montage of pile, its design and the overall operation of the system is shown. Behaviour of axially loaded energy piles is observed in the individual section. In contrast with other foundation structures, energy piles are also under thermal loading. Next, the main factors of pile behaviour are mentioned, the methods of investigation of energy piles (analytical, experimental and numerical) are described and also characteristics, results from the specific studies that were made in different parts of the world under various conditions. In the second part of the thesis, a simple numerical analysis of energy pile is carried out. The simulation of pile is performed in Plaxis 2D. The description of model, calculation phases are discussed along with achieved results and compared with published studies.
