Třešňáková, Martina ; Kovář, Martin (advisor) ; Fabianková, Klára (referee)
The goal of this final thesis is to give a comprehensive analysis of the fiscal policy of the Conservative Party from 1951 to 1957. Under the government of Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden the United Kingdom faced a number of economic and political problems, which in turn influenced its economic development. The British government tried to stop the decreasing trend of the economy in relation to other states through interventionist economic policy, which in the Great Britain is known as policy stop and go. It especially focuses on  the post-war period and the consequences of the government of Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden. Based on foreign sources British economy suffered mainly by four economic problems, accelerating inflation, lack of economic growth, the uneven balance of payments and low productivity growth.

Hošková, Lucie ; Černá, Iveta (advisor) ; Taušer, Josef (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on classification of reciprocal economic relations between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. The aim of this thesis is to uncover, what are the relations like and what is their significance in the context of the foreign trade of both respective countries. In this case, trade in goods and services as well as mutual flows of foreign direct investments have been the subjects of investigation. Apparently, the reciprocal relations, despite not acquiring a major share in overall foreign economic activities of these countries, play an important role in economic happening. Currently, trade in goods is the one, which is achieving the biggest success. Also British foreign direct investments in the Czech Republic are reaching relatively high values (at least compared to Czech investments in the United Kingdom), however, the mutual trade in services is the one, which could have a substantive perspective into the future.
