Balíček, Radim ; Hrobařová, Veronika (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on process of production management and scheduling in a selected company. In the first part the selected company has been described. The theoretical part contains an explanation of terms that relates to this topic. In the practical part, a process analysis of the current state of the process of production management and scheduling has been carried out, which detected certain deficiencies related to this process. The identified deficiencies are further interpreted and on the basis of the theoretical part, has been proposed a solution, which should lead to the elimination of these problems. In the final part of the thesis, the benefits of the proposed solution are determined.

The second part deals with technical description of important equipment and systems of the nuclear powerplants at chosen nuclear reactors of II. and III. generation. The last part explains the conception of nuclear safety deeply. The reader can gain a deep overview of the different levels of protection and attention is also paid to the methods that contribute to the evaluation of nuclear safety.
Low energy excitations in oriented graphite by THz magneto-optical spectroscopy
Dubský, Jan ; Kunc, Jan (referee) ; Vrba, Radimír (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the modelling of electronic properties of graphite crystal, which are measurable using a spectrometer based on high frequency electron paramagnetic resonance (HFEPR for short) located in laboratories of CEITEC BUT. This is especially the band structure of graphite and its Landau levels. The theoretical part of the thesis describes key effects and connections from quantum mechanics and definitions of important terms from solid state physics, which are used to describe the crystalline structure of graphite and its electronic properties. Furthermore, the project describes the HFEPR spectrometer and its functional principle. In the practical part of the thesis, there are numerical models of the band structure of graphite and of its Landau levels and description of the preparation of a graphite sample for measurement. At the end of the practical part there is the analysis of measurements results, namely the cyclotron resonance and Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations, thanks to which it is possible to determine physical parameters of the sample, such as effective mass of charge carriers and fundamental frequency.
Radical products of the oxidation of selected phenols and amines
Holubcová, Petra ; Mazúr, Milan (referee) ; Omelka, Ladislav (advisor)
In the framework of diploma thesis, radical products of the oxidation of selected paramethyl phenols and secondary amines were investigated. In the case of para-methyl phenols using EPR spectroscopy the reaction mechanism was proved, where the abstraction of hydrogen from para-methyl group is involved. In this way benzyl radicals are formed, which can be identified by spin-trapping technique using nitroso compounds. The adducts formed undergo the consecutive rearrangement, which leads to the formation of the corresponding nitrones. In addition to phenols, the radical products of the oxidation of some secondary amines using peroxy radicals and peroxy acids were studied. In both cases new types of nitroxyle radicals were generated and the EPR parameters were determined by spectral simulation.
Characterisation of alcoholic beverages by means of spectrospic methods
Fajtl, Zdeněk ; Omelka, Ladislav (referee) ; Polovka, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor’s project is focused on the problem of determination of thermo-oxidative stability of mixed Radler - type drinks with low alcohol content. The project consists of both, theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the basic technological procedures used in the production of lager-type beer and also mixed drinks of Radler type. It also deals with the issue of antioxidants and/or oxidative processes with specific focus on beer and its components. The author also pays attention to spectroscopic methods, which are recently extensively applied to characterize different qualitative and quantitative parameters of foods; predominantly UV-VIS, IR and EPR spectroscopy. These methods were chosen with respect to the topic being studied. In the experimental part, the application of EPR spectroscopy and spin traps methods for the characterization of thermo-oxidative stability of the selected group of commercially available samples of Radler-type beer is presented. The values of the induction periods which were taken as a measure of thermo-oxidative stability, are compared, both for the group of Radler-type beers under study and for the commercially available samples of typical lager-type beers of identical producers, which were taken as for reference.
Post-consumer packaging waste production
Pálešová, Lenka ; Gregor, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis covers waste and packaging legislation of Czech and Slovak Republic. It focuses mainly on the latest changes in area of plastic packaging and on the implementation of European directives. Furthermore, it compares authorized packaging companies, that perform extended producers´ responsibilities in both countries, and explains the principles of eco modulation. The work itself is linked with project announced by Centrum of environmental research for waste management and circular economy and is supplemented by practical part, which consists of various phases: analysis of waste production at home and in the field, preparation of document materials and processing the data obtained from analysis.
Study of the antioxidative potential of selected fruit marcs
Havlíčková, Barbora ; Zemanová, Jana (referee) ; Vespalcová, Milena (advisor)
Subject of this bachelor thesis was antioxidant activity of selected kind of fruits. Among selected kinds were the marc of red and white grapes, moldings from red elderberry and aronia. Two species of made capsules from marcs of white grapes and aronia were also subjected to analysis. Results of this bachelor thesis are summarized to four chapters. The first chapter compares the water content of drying at 40 ° C and 105 ° C. In the second chapter, the results of extraction in different proportions of solvent mixture ethanol - water and results of extraction in prepared artificial gastric juice are discussed. As a result, the water – ethanol mixture was a more effective solvent than artificial gastric juice. The third chapter deals with the results and discussion of the determination of the total content of phenolic substances. For the solvent mixture, the largest amount of polyphenols in the red vine marc was determined to be 43,56 mg.g-1, while in gastric juice the largest content in the elderberry was determined to be 11,89 mg.g-1. Capsules were also extracted in gastric juice, and 2,53 mg.g-1 was found in aronia tablets, while 5,93 mg.g-1 in white grape tablets. The last chapter compares the results of TAA measurements using the TEAC and EPR methods. The EPR method was more suitable for much diluted solutions than the TEAC method. The results of this work show that there is a large number of polyphenols and other antioxidants in the moldings that affect the overall antioxidant activity. Marcs have great potential for use as natural dyes or can be used to make a food supplement.
In vitro study of antioxidant activity of food supplements
Vopelková, Dominika ; Pořízka, Jaromír (referee) ; Omelka, Ladislav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the determination of antioxidant activity of food supplements in vitro. The theoretical part focuses on legislative requirements of food supplements, their characteristic and classification. Further, the attention is also devoted to antioxidants, their properties, effects, importance and utilization. Separate chapter describes herbs, which are an essential component of researched supplements, their effects and properties. For experimental part several food supplements in various forms (capsule, tea, juice, dried fruits) were chosen and total content of polyphenols was determined using the UV-VIS spectroscopy. Further, the total antioxidant activity is characterized by electron paramagnetic resonance involving DPPH method.

This thesis deals with behaviour of paramagnetic molecules of copper(II) pthalocyanine (CuPc), hemin and bis(dibenzoylmethane)copper(II) ([Cu(dbm)2]) on surfaces of glass and polycrystalline gold. Additionally the [Cu(dbm)2] is studied on graphene surface. Molecules are deposited on substrates via wet chemistry methods. They are studied after deposition with atomic force microscopy (AFM), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), scanning electron microskopy (SEM) and X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS).
