The utilization of resources from the EU structural funds and from the EAFRD fund on the example of the Jemnice microregion

This dissertation is focused on the utilization of resources from the EU structural funds and from the EAFRD fund on the example of the Jemnice microregion. The presented elaboration deals about the points at issues like obtainment and utilization of financial resources from the structural funds and from the EAFRD fund in the JM. Regarding the mentioned examples of realized or planned projects, the importance of financial subventions from the structural EU funds and the EAFRD fund is apparently contributing to the successful development of the Jemnice microregion. In spite of the fact that, in comparison with the whole Czech Republic, during the programming period 2007 {--} 2013 the lower allotment from the EU structural funds managed to be drawn from per capita, a great deal of projects could not be realized without the financial EU support in the Jemnice microregion at all.
The support of rural development through the EAFRD fund in the region of Strakonice

The object of the thesis is to describe and evaluate the current state of the region, which will be determined by drawings from the Rural Development Programme. A new solution will be proposed, which should lead to more efficient development of the region. The thesis includes a literary review, along with an outline of the characteristics of the region. A SWOT analysis was carried out based on these findings. The most important part of the thesis is the analysis of obtaining financial resources from the Rural Development Programme (axis number III and IV).

The work focuses on the analysis of EU funds. Described is also the general functioning of the European community in terms of politics, economics, geographical kontext, regional policy and economics and social cohesion. Subsequently, the theoretical part of the work is devoted to tourism and choosing suitable program for derive financial resources for tourism development. The aim of this work is to draft a specific project based on information obstained from the analysis of the Rural Development Program in the Czech republic. Another objective is to assess the effects and benefits resulting from the project. The project proposal is developed in the practical part of the thesis. Finances are drawn from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) through the Rural Development Program (RDP). The entire project is analyzed and evaluated in particular in economic and financial terms. Social and development aspect, creating new jobs and the overall of the project are evaluated too.
Use of the EAFRD in the development of rural areas

The master thesis deals with a question of rural development funding in the Czech Republic. It acquaints the reader with Regional Policy and Structural Funds of the European Union and with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) It also describes area grants and forms of subsidy granted from the EAFRD in the 2007 ? 2013 programming period. There is also a description of conditions for obtaining subsidies within the framework of the Rural Development Programme in the rural areas of the Czech Republic. The aim of this study is to evaluate utilization of the EAFRD in a selected locality. The main research area is the village of Plav, which is defined and shortly described in the text. In case of this village the SWOT analysis was carried out as well as evaluated. The written materials from the Plav´s municipal office and the transcript of a tape-recorded semi-structured interview with a representative of Plav were used for evaluation of the EAFRD utilization. Another part of the study is focused on comparison of the use of the EAFRD with other subsidy instruments for funding of the development in a selected locality. At the end of the study there are evaluations of expected benefits in particular rural regions and proposed projects being potentially successful for obtaining subsidies.
