Analysis of the current financial state of czech credit unions

This thesis analyzes the current problems of the credit union sector . At first describes the historical development of unions and further developments in the sector at the turn of the millennium. The greatest emphasis is placed on presenting the main trends in the development of cooperative banking in the Czech Republic from 2005 to the present. Solve the main problems of the sector -- excessive growth of balance sheets unions and their ever increasing risk and the disproportionate effect of the Deposit Insurance Fund -- is responsible for the amendment of the Act No. 87/ 1995 on Credit Unions , which sets the upper limit size increase savings and credit unions share of the contribution to the deposit Insurance Fund and the creation of reserves to fund the venture. The amendment, which is based on the recommendations of the FSAP mission of the International Monetary Fund , is evaluated in the main part of the work . Rating legislative changes is positive , as in the Czech Republic it is necessary to reduce the risk sector unions and unions to regulate the way to the most congruent with the principles of unions by the World Council of Credit Unions ( WOCCU )
Credit unions in the Czech Republic and their importance in the context of loan products

The thesis is focused on the analysis of credit products offered by the credit unions in the context of Czech retail banking. The objective of the thesis is to compare the terms of specifi c loan products of banks and credit unions. The first part is devoted to the history of credit unions in the Czech Republic since the late 20th century. Then it discusses the various types of products off ered by these institutions. The last part is trying to assess the specifi c terms of the credit products off ered by selected credit unions and banks.
Financial analysis of the credit union

The aim of the diploma thesis is a financial analysis of the credit union. The main aim of the thesis is to show how credit unions are working in the Czech Republic, and to apply a financial analysis of the selected credit union. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter describes a financial analysis in general, its resources, users and methods. The second charter deals with legislation of credit unions, their operation on the Czech market and supervisory duties of the Central Bank. Accounting and statements of credit unions are discussed in the third chapter. The final fourth charter deals with practical analysis of selected savings cooperatives.
