Seeking according to G. H.

The aim of the M.A. thesis The Seeking according to G. H. is to introduce the prose The Passion According to G. H. by Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector (1920-1977) and examine this literary work in relation to biblical motives which appear in the novel. First, the author presents Lispectorʼs life and work and mentions her contribution to the Brazilian literary canon. Then he thoroughly analyses and interprets the prose The Passion According to G. H. In the next section, he focuses on selected Biblical motives and shows semantic shifts in the work. The thesis is subsequently concluded by a brief reflection on the function of Biblical themes.
