Gender aspects of parental choise of traditional and Montessori kindergarten

The thesis deals with gender aspects of parental choice of common and Montessori kindergarten. The theoretical part focuses on topics related to both gender identity and its development and with the preschool period, which is described primarily in terms of gender. Given that important parts of childhood are toys, the theoretical part also focuses on the gender aspect and explores it. Gender equality is offered as one of the possible approaches to children upbringing and education. The Montessori method of education occupies a large space of the theoretical part. The thesis also compares Montessori kindergartens with common kindergartens. Research of the thesis is based on a qualitative analysis of interviews with mothers of children in the pre-school and early school age. This analysis goes through all the interviews. It searches and then compares common categories. The research shows that parents choosing a kindergarten for their child do not reflect forms of gender socialization in the kindergarten. Alternative kindergarten is often chosen by parents of children who apply elements of gender- sensitive education in their upbringing. Parents, who chose child Montessori kindergarten for their child, have more specific and clearly defined selection criteria than parents collecting common...
Work with literary text by the help methods of dramatic education with 5-7 years old children

This thesis deals with the work with literary text by the help methods of dramatic education. The main aim is to find out possibilities and specifics for use these methods at work with 5-7 years old children and to offer lessons of dramatic education. This thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with peculiarities of evolution and necessities of 5-7 years old children, an importance of children's game, a role of literature in children's life, methods and techniques of dramatic education and a selection of literary text. The practical part of this thesis offers six lessons of dramatic education. These lessons were be realized at nursery school and in first and second class of primary school. A part of practical work are reflexes of these lessons with particular children's groups and their mutual comparison. This part contains free suggestions of other lessons. These lessons are inspired by various literary genres for children. The results show that with such old children are especially effective these techniques: simple pantomime, association circle, alley, a range of attitudes, live images. Input activities must have clearly defined understandable rules. It is appropriate to assign specific roles and provide or suggest children descriptions of figured situations.

GAME IN THE WALDORF KINDERGARTEN, NERUDOVA 53, ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE

The thesis is focused on the game in the Waldorf kindergarten, Nerudova 53, České Budějovice. In the theoretical part I deal with the characteristics of Waldorf early childhood education by Rudolf Steiner, I am engaged in the general educational program, in key competencies and in to the game and its definition and characteristics. The practical part is composed of a collection of the games and analysis of their key competencies from the point of view of developing child skills.
