Manufacturing of ready-to-wear clothes
Dubanych, Yuliia ; Suchánek,, Petr (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor) ; Bečkovská, Tereza (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to design a new outfit for the Tommy Helfieger brand. The project is based on an architectural study, which was prepared within the subject AG034 Studio of Architectural Creation in the 3rd year study of bachelor. The land that was reserved for the design is located in Brno, in the cadastral area of Bohunice. It is a part of the city that is known for its dominance - the university campus of Masaryk University and other public buildings: the University Hospital, the Faculty of Sports Studies at MU, the Department of Infectious Diseases and the Brno Remand Prison. The plot is located on the border of the zone with the civic amenities and residential area. The land is registered as a brownfield and is connected to Kamenice and Vinohrady streets. The plot is in a moderately sloping terrain. The designed object with its shape follows the trapezoidal shape of the reserved land. The building consists of two buildings: the main building and the building, designed to house auxiliary operations. In the main building there is an entrance area, administration, facilities, changing rooms and sanitary facilities for employees, a dining room and warehouses. It is followed by a communication core with two freight elevators and a staircase. The third mass of the main building is reserved for production activities, storage areas, a rest room, a fire station and other auxiliary operations. Although the building is an industrial building, it does not have a clear industrial character. The facade is made of white plaster, which contrasts with the large areas of the windows in the production hall. An important element of this is also the outdoor space to relax at the entrance. The entrance to the building is barrier-free.
