Economic and Financial Evaluation of the Company Using the Balanced Scorecard Method

The master’s thesis is devoted to the evaluation of the performance of Kayaku Safety Systems Europe a.s. using the Balanced Scorecard model. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter is a theoretical and defines basic concepts. Using theoretical knowledge, the analytical part deals with financial and strategic analysis of the selected company. The last chapter of the master’s thesis is focused on a proposal for the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard model in the company, which will lead to an increase in its performance.

The Performance Evaluation of the Company using Balanced Scorecard

The diploma thesis is devoted to the evaluation of company performance using the Balanced Scorecard method. The analyzed company is Modikov s.r.o. The thesis can be divided into three parts, the first part is aimed at clarifying the theoretical knowledge. It describes the methods that can be used to evaluate a company and the next chapters are devoted to financial analysis indicators and strategic analysis. The practical part deals with the financial analysis of the company for the years 2018 to 2022, followed by the aforementioned strategic analysis. The last part is the actual implementation of the Balanced Scorecard method, which will help to improve the performance of the company.

The master’s thesis focuses on the evaluation of the performance of CIE METAL CZ, s.r.o. using financial and strategic analysis and based on the results of the analysis proposes the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard model. The aim of the proposed Balanced Scorecard model is to set strategic goals and metrics that may lead to increase the performance of the selected company.
