Systems for acquisition of physiological data during driving
Šimoňáková, Sabína ; Svozilová, Veronika (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare and evaluate available systems for acquisi-tion of electro physical parameters measured on a driver when driving a car. The main focus is put on reliability, relevance and quality of output signals, that have been measured on participants during a pretest in laboratory and during road testing.
Multichannel EMG signal processing for gesture recognition
Brázdil, Štěpán ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This work deals with the complex solution of the problem concerning the design and implementation of the system for the collection, classification and visualization of EMG signal. The thesis is designed with respect to possible future applications like implementation of a real limb model controlled by the proposed system. In the introductory part the theoretical knowledge of EMG signal generation and sensing possibilities, including the anatomical structure of the upper limb, are revealed. In the other parts, the possible realization of measurements using the BITalino system and the use of data processing and classification using the Matlab program are discussed. The output of this work is a functional program code that allows visualization of upper limb gestures in the graphical user interface.
Therapeutic game implementation with use of EMG signal
Drozd, Tomáš ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Hesko, Branislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes electromyography which we can use for biofeedback. At first, it describes electromyography and methods of measuring. Then biofeedback is described and its usage for therapeutic purposes or therapeutic games. Also it introduces BITalino device which represents low-cost solution for biofeedback. For practical uses there is provided a program written in C++ which includes Super Mario World. Appliation also draws measuered signal and parameteres calcuted from it.
Therapeutic game for reaction time measurement using the BITalino platform
Veselá, Cindy ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Hesko, Branislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis focuses on real-time detection of activity in electromyographic signal for reaction time measurement. For patients motivation there was designed and implemented therapeutic car game controlled throught the muscle activity. In this thesis were used three different algorithms for muscles activity detection in EMG signal. The best accuracy of this three methods has designed artificial network with U-Net hierarchy, which is used to segment samples into two categories - samples of signal with activity and samples representing calm. Accuracy of this method is 97 %. Later there were examined differences between groups of probands, different stimulus and the changes of reaction time over time.

Recommendations for ECG Acquisition Using BITalino
Němcová, Andrea ; Maršánová, Lucie ; Smíšek, Radovan
Cardiovascular disorders are still the most common cause of death in Western countries. In addition to cardiologists´ care, patient self-examination is the growing area nowadays. For this purpose, mobile devices for ECG signal acquisition are suitable. From these devices, we selected low-cost system called BITalino. In this work, we tested the quality of ECG signals acquired with BITalino under various conditions. We tested 2 values of sampling frequency, 12 electrodes placements and 6 types of exercises. We recommend using sampling frequency of 1,000 Hz, two electrodes placements – on chest and on wrists for both resting and exercise ECG.
