Solution of chosen exercises of elasticity by using Airy stress function
Koch, Martin ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Novák, Kamil (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is concerned with solving selected Mechanics of Material tasks using Airy stress function. First, a description of usage and implementation of the function and methods using the function for solving problems are provided. In the analytical part, there are selected tasks solved by using the Airy stress function and the results are compared with the ones obtained by using the standard approach. A calculation using the Finite Element Method is carried out in the last part and is followed by a final comparison of all the solutions.
Analysis of chosen methods for solution of torsion of non-circular bars
Mach, Ondřej ; Rozehnalová, Petra (referee) ; Novák, Kamil (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with analysis of chosen methods for solution of torsion of non-circular bars. The thesis is divided into two sections – theoretical section and research section. There have been introduced all needed terms and formulas used in analysed methods in the first part. In the second part, solutions of analytical methods have been compared with solutions obtained by numerical method FEM (Finite Element Method) modeled in ANSYS software.
A study of the stress distribution near the sharp notch tip
Svoboda, Petr ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the problem of determining the stress singularity exponent of the V-notch. This task can be divided into two parts. The first deals with the theoretical background, that means the basic relations of mechanics and the basic concepts of fracture mechanics. The second part deals with the elaboration of the Williams method and the creation of a program for calculating the stress singularity exponent.
