Krausová, Anna ; Kmentová, Milena (advisor) ; Kubátová, Gabriela (referee)
As a topic of this bachelor thesis, I cover musical activities for children with delayed speech development. In the theoretical part, I focus on the specifics of correct children's speech development, the fundamentals of communicationandspeechand musical educationinthe pre- school age. I study the definitions, ways of diagnosing and the causes for the delayed speech development. The goal of the empirical part was tofindout the best way possible tohelpchildrenwith delayed speech development using musical activities with participation of a speech therapist. Throughout the consultations with the speech therapist, I had a chance to meet children who suffer from delayed speech development. I used vocal games (both previously published and created by me), evaluated the reactions and the degree of development of the children. The empirical part consist od six case studies and records of five meetings. The research is accompaniedby a poll filled out by the parents of the children I met during the research. I also carried out an interview with the speech therapist. The research's findings suggest that the musical activities helpto develop vocabulary and accelerate overall speech development of the childrenwith delayed speech development.
