Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na stručnou charakteristiku a možné využití železniční dopravy v cestovním ruchu převážně na území České rebubliky. Autor píše o prognózách do budoucna, železničních koridorech, současných nabídkách a novinkách vytvořených pro podporu cestování vlakem. Uvádí srovnání s ostatními druhy doprav a přikládá několik návrhů na zlepšení a další rozvoj železniční dopravy v cestovním ruchu.

The study targets an alternate solution examination of the IV. railway corridor from České Budějovice to Ševětín in the problem area of Hněvkovice village. I summarize and assess the available information and their processing and examination within EIA. That was not finished till today. I examined the problem in a few terms {--} ecologic, aesthetic, economic and according to the influence on the inhabitants of this area above all.

The Economic Aspects of Accessibility with Use of Public Railway Traffic

This thesis deals with the evaluation of the investment efficiency to the traffic buildings. Theoretical part describes the history of the traffic sector and the railway traffic, the ownership and financing of the railway infrastructure. Next section describes the characteristic of railway corridors, basic principles of their modernization and optimizations and methods for the evaluation of investment efficiency. In practical part is focused on design of an own methodology for the evaluation of investment efficiency to the traffic building according to savings of passengers' time. The investment efficiency to the railway corridors is assessed using proposed methodology.
