Segmentation of ribs in thoracic CT scans
Kašík, Ondřej ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Jakubíček, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of an algorithm for segmentation of ribs from thoracic CT data. For the segmentation method of rib centerlines detection is chosen. The first step of this approach is to extract the centerlines of all the bones located in the scan. These centerlines are divided into short primitives, which are subsequently classified into couple of categories, depending on whether they represent the centerline of the rib. Subsequently, the centrelines of ribs are used as the seed points of the region growing algorithm in three-dimensional space, which realizes the final segmentation of the ribs. Within the work, a database of 10 CT scans was manually annotated, which was subsequently used to validate a performance of the proposed segmentation approach. The achieved success rate of primitive classification is 96,7 %, the success rate of rib segmentation (Dice coefficient) is 86,8 %.
ZOO DVŮR KRÁLOVÉ - PAVILION OF ENTRY
Matulová, Eliška ; Kokeš, Václav (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The new pavilion of entrance into the Zoo Dvůr Králové nad Labem is inspired by African wildlife – the dorsum of zebra. The building contains the basic functions like the entry including box office and turnstile and the exhibition of little animals makeing the pleasant feelings for the entrance into the Zoo. There is a restaurant, multifunction areas, sanitary facilities and a standalone exit object with a Zoo shop.

Autor: Veronika Vysoudilová Title: Case report of physiotherapy care for patient with multiple rib fracture surgery General part: The general section of the thesis focuses on anatomy and kinesiology of thorax. This includes kinematics of respiratory movement and muscle chains connected to thorax. The next part summarizes the knowledge of traumatology, conservative and surgical treatment. The last section states the methods of medical rehabilitation used in treatment of this traumatic condition. Special part: The special part presents a case report of physiotherapy care for patient who underwent surgery of multiple rib fracture. Key words: Case therapy, fracture, ribs, thorax, stabilization
Study of magnetic structures in the solar corona
ŠEBELÍK, Václav
The thesis presents a comparison of data obtained from the solar radio spectrograph RT5 in Ondřejov and data from the space probe SDO. In the theoretical part of the thesis the solar corona and the current state of knowledge are briefly described. The practical part is devoted to the processing of obtained data using developed programs. From all of structures found in the spectrograms, zebra structures have been selected for more detailed study.

Crocks of Safari -mosaic images, a diptych
DOULÍKOVÁ, Radka
My graduation thesis is called {\clq}qCrocks of Safari`` and it is divided into two main segments. The First part is theoretical which explains my inspiration, choice of theme and material, method of working - starting with design, ending with final artwork and its installation. It also considers the techniques of mosaic creation. It includes image documentation, which enriches and completes the text. The Second part is practical which includes its own graphic creation. That is two mosaic images made out of combined material {--} ceramics and glass (mirror) inserted into a metal frame. It features graphic structures and elements of an African fauna. It specifically interprets cut outs from herd of zebras and their typical stripes. My goal was to create abstract images where you can feel the character of used material and harmony of natural structures.
