The main goal is to compare theoretical pedagogical approaches in creating the school reform of two leading Czechoslovakian reformists and innovators in education, Václav Příhoda and Otokar Chlup. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the work outlines the situation in the Czechoslovak education system from 1928 to 1939 and describes what preceded this situation. The author worked with primary sources and scholarly literature in the practical part of the work. With informative value acquired from these sources, the author answers appointed research questions that directly compare the pedagogical work of Václav Příhoda and Otokar Chlup or tries to describe the basics on which they based their work.
