Jiří Dienstbier - the playwright

The presented thesis "Jiří Dienstbier - The Playwright' consists of two parts: part I. "Life without work is as no life outlines the authors biography, part II. introduces his samizdat work. The first part of the thesis presents the author as a person of a various professional interests, putting emphasis on his world-view formation. The second chapter deals with Dienstbiers work during the period his publication ban. The fundamental analysis of four theatre plays is preceded by a survey of the authors samizdat work represented by his publicistic texts. The thesis tries to render the connection between Dienstbiers dramatic work, associated purely with the period of so called "normalisation, and his life-long interest in political life and securing freedom.
Interpersonal Relations in Václav Havel's Plays

Bachelor's thesis deals with human relationships in dramatic work of Vaclav Havel from the 1960's until the first decade of 21st century. The author's work is viewed purely from a literary point of view, author's dramatical adaptation, his political nor personal texts aren't taken into account. The aim of the thesis is to find elements of individual relationships, describe and outline the author's procedures in the constitution of the characters and their interactions. Bachelor's thesis contains a summary of each play a distinctive characters, to help to orientate oneself on the author's work. These characteristics are supported in selected contemporary reviews and expert studies. On this basis, three basic areas are set aside there (love, family and work relationships) that are characterized by means of comparison.

Dramatic Works During the Period of Czech Decadence.
HOVHANNISYAN, Lenka
The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the decadent dramatic masterpiece. At first at my work, I was concentrated on description of decadence and other directions of modernism, which of the related, such as Impressionism and Symbolism. Then I donated the description of decadent direction in Bohemia, but also in other countries, especially in France and England. Of course I even didn't forget even the most important decadent writers in these countries. Next, I described the characteristics of the decadent drama, mentioned the important authors and their works, and I finally dismantled dramatic literary works of Jiří Karásek from Lvovice, Cesare Borgia and Apollonius z Tyany. I focused mainly on the decadent, secession and the symbolist characters in these works. I have included in this analysis, descriptions of scenery and decadent tuning, descriptions of characters and I also dismantled each act in which I was looking for motives of decadence.
Alfréd Radok Awards Drama Competition

This master thesis introduces the origins of the Alfréd Radok Awards Foundation and briefly explains evolution of the contest the Foundation has run for the past twenty two years. It focuses mainly on the Alfréd Radok Awards Drama Contest which introduced the best original and unperformed Czech or Slovakian plays.
