Calculation of Brown Coal Boiler for SCR Application
Mizerovský, Karel ; Bursa, Robert (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with the verification calculation of boiler which burns brown coal for the application of the selective catalytic reduction method. The thesis is divided into several parts. In the first of all is performed the calculation of the furnace chamber which involves stoichiometrics calculations and enthalpy calculations of air and flue gas. In the second part the heat balance of the boiler, the boiler losses and the thermal efficiency are determined. After all the heating surfaces are calculed for the verify the dimensions. In the conclusion of the thesis we looked for the temperature range which is used for the SCR application. Then the improvements for the appropriate temperature range are designed.
Direct cooling systems in food processing plants
Kotásek, Petr ; Vlček, Petr (referee) ; Formánek, Marian (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with direct cooling systems in food processing plants. The work focuses on the description of the components of the refrigerant cycle, with emphasis on the choice of refrigerant. The result is a design of direct cooling system in the food factory in the variants with refrigerant R404A and R717. The work describes the advantages and disadvantages of various options. The work includes an experimental section which deals with the measure-ment and processing of the actual values of the refrigerant cycle and the comparison of two cold sources.
Design and verification of lab-scale spray column for CO2 capture
Veselý, Filip ; Bělka, Miloslav (referee) ; Malý, Milan (advisor)
The concept and design of the lab-scaled spray column for CO2 capture which is capable of using optical measurement technologies and provides variations of experimental conditions is crucial to research CO2 absorption using sprays. This thesis is focused on the design of the column and all necessary components. Furthermore, there are discussed experimental conditions and measurement technologies. It provides deep look at velocity profile adjustments and efficiency of the absorption for MEA and aqueous ammonia. There is a discussion about each configuration and its results including design adjustments suggestions.
Analysis of selected chemical parameters of Temelín Nuclear Power Plant primary circuit coolant
ŘEHÁČEK, Martin
The aim of the thesis was to define the meaning of radiochemical processes which take place in coolant of the primary circuit of the Nuclear Power Plant; and to describe the way of measurement of chemical parameters. The second aim was to define the significance of dissolved hydrogen to compensate for corrosion-threatening corrosion-safe operation of plant and to describe the method of generating hydrogen by ammonia. The third aim was to investigate the time courses of ammonia and hydrogen concentrations within the two production units. The last aim was to investigate unilateral dependence between ammonia and hydrogen concentrations. The first two aims were met by using system analysis of coolant chemical parameters, methods of measuring them, and ongoing radiochemical processes in the coolant. Ammonia and hydrogen were selected for deeper investigation, because of the results of the analysis. H1, H2 and H3 hypotheses have been formulated to meet the other two aims. The H1 hypothesis was used to verify the empirical distribution of ammonia and hydrogen concentration measurements by non-parametric normality testing. Hypothesis H2 investigated the time dependence of ammonia and hydrogen concentrations by regression analysis. In case of verification of H3 hypothesis the method of regression and correlation dependency was used. The verifying of hypothesis has shown that the empirical distribution of the measurement of hydrogen and ammonia concentrations is more closely related to the theoretical normal distribution. Furthermore, it was verified that the linear regression function of the time dependence of ammonia and hydrogen concentration measurements is close to the parallel to the timeline during the fuel campaign. Linear regression and correlation analysis confirmed that the correlation between hydrogen and ammonia concentrations is similar on both blocks and close to strong positive correlation. Verification of required regressive and correlative bending between ammonia and generated hydrogen can be understood as a practical contribution.
An analysis of safety measures Tipsport arena for dealing with emergencies
Benko, Michal ; Fiala, Miloš (advisor) ; Vilášek, Josef (referee)
Title: An analysis of safety measures in Tipsport arena for dealing with emergencies Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze technology in Tipsport Arena ice stadium in Holešovice in terms of safety and security measures and to evaluate the internal measures of HC Sparta Praha. Identify emergency situations that may arise at the ice rink and bring preventive measures generated against these situations. Methods: In this thesis compilation methods were used for the analysis of the key points about technology and hazardous substances used at the ice rink, security plans arising from legislation and an analysis of the integrated rescue system. In the practical part, a technology and safety measures selected ice rink, the used of methods of analysis, observation and interviews. Results: Safety measures Tipsport arena is evaluated as positive and its analysis is given in the safety measures servicing of refrigeration devices, security controls before organizing events, breakdown of activities performed by fire hazard and are accompanied by the documentation of fire protection in Tipsport arena. Keywords: leak, ammonia, system, stadium, failure

Porovnání hydrotermické a chemické plastifikace dřeva
Rousek, Radim
The process of wood plasticization and densification has been known for decades. It is used for improvement of mechanical properties of low density wood. The objective of this study is to compare two different methods of wood plasticization. Specimens made of European beech wood (Fagus sylvatica) were plasticized by hot steam or gaseous ammonia and then compressed in tangential direction. Stress-strain behaviour during compression was evaluated. In this study influence of growth ring angle on densification process was also investigated. Gaseous ammonia at a pressure of 0.2 MPa was less efficient than hot steam. The best plasticizing effect was reached by combining these two methods. A growth ring angle of 15° from direction of compression (almost tangential) was evaluated as the best for densification of European beech wood.
