Perception of cultural and natural values and visitor preferences in Český Krumlov

This bachelor thesis deals with the perception of cultural and natural values and visitor preferences in Český Krumlov against the background of tourism in the South Bohemian Region and Český Krumlov. It also deals with the topic of further development of tourism in South Bohemia. The introduction contains the aims and hypotheses of the thesis, discussion of the literature and methodology of the thesis, followed by an introduction to the geographical conditions of the South Bohemian Region, the district and the town of Český Krumlov. In the next part it deals with tourism in these areas and tries to answer the question what are the further possibilities of tourism development in South Bohemia. It also focuses specifically on Český Krumlov, its historical, natural and cultural monuments, and especially on the castle garden. The last part of the thesis is the evaluation of the questionnaire survey, confirmation or refutation of the hypotheses and drawing conclusions.
Mapování historických objektů malých pivovarů v příhraničním regionu

Historical breweries were a very important part the of propeties of the most powerful houses and served as one of the main financial sources. This thesis processes historical facts from the Middle Ages to present, the data is related to individual breweries in villages and cities in the area of Českokrumlovsko. It is focused on basic and general information concerning the year of establishment, basic historical charakteristics, year production and the end of breweries activity. It also presents the point map of the individual breweries divided by the owners and it shows an overview chart with the most significant data.
Economic, social and environmental aspects of horse breeding in the Českokrumlovsko area

The aim of this work was to find out and compare the economic, social and environmental context of horse breeding in the breeding holdings and on agricultural farms in the Český Krumlov region. Both organic and conventional farms have been compared, no matter if horse breeding was their main activity, or just a complementary or a hobby activity. The main criterion of the comparison was the way of housing the horses, distinguishing between three main types of horse breeding: 1. Box individual, or indoor group stabling 2. All-year stay in the pasture, so-called 24/7 system 3. Stay in a box for a part of a 24-hour cycle and stay in the enclosure or pasture for the rest of the cycle. Results were obtained through publicly available sources and a questionnaire survey that involved 12 horse breeders. The conclusion of the thesis is that the basic management (types or strategies) of horse breeding differ: a) in economic aspects the most advantageous management type was the all-year continuous stay of horses in the pastures, b) in social aspects the best type of management from the social relation point of view, was the individual boxing, or group stabling (so-called free stables) with some portion of everyday outside stay of the horses, c) in environmental aspects - the all-year outside stay of the horses was considered to burden the environment the least, its impacts are rather positive in cultural and close to nature landscapes.
The role of social capital in development of periphery areas: An example of local action groups in the Český Krumlov region

This master thesis focuses on factors concerning the quality of cooperation between municipalities and regions with emphasis on the influence of local actors. The case study focuses specifically on the Local Action Groups (LAG)s within the Český Krumlov region. We applied the concept of social capital as a tool to clarify the importance of endogenous conditions of regions, and endogenous factors that influence the quality of cooperation between personalities and institutions. The concept of social capital has gained the attention of foreign and Czech researchers during the last twenty years and it is considered to be an important element of comprehensive regional development. The research was held in two phases. The first phase was a pilot analysis based on publicly available sources. We compared scores of LAGs based on various factors including their success in grant applications. Based on information collected from this, we continued the research in the form of structured interviews with key actors in concerned LAGs. The structure of these interviews followed chosen aspects of social capital, such as social networking and cooperation between personalities. The Technical Monuments in Český Krumlov Region And How to Use Them in Primary School Education

This diploma thesis focuses on using the technical monuments in Český Krumlov region in primary school education. The main principles of project teaching method in primary school are mentioned in the theoretical part. The practical part is based on these principles. This thesis also deals with the technical education which is used in the projects themselves and which result is gaining the principal technical literacy of students in primary schools. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with ten technical monumets in Český Krumlov region which were used in the projects. The practical part of this thesis contains ten projects which were realized during the education process in the primary school. These projects were carried out in various classes according to the students´ ages and skills. The important part of this thesis is also the evaluation of the research carried out among the teachers who realized the projects in all classes in the primary school.
Českokrumlovsko in Bronze Age

The presented work sums up all existing knowledge about settlement in the Český Krumlov region from the Bronze Age. The main goal of this work was to create an inventory of all the sites and individual residential components. Another part is devoted to individual sites and sites sorted out by the type of location and by the period of the Bronze Age, when topographical characteristics such as distance from water courses, altitude and spatial relationships were monitored. This is followed by a summary of findings from the older, younger, middle and late Bronze Age. The next part compares contemporary district of Prachatice. In the last part, the author briefly discusses the relationship of the monitored area with the Upper Danube region and attempts to interpret the status of Český Krumlov in the South Bohemian region.
The issue of landscape planning in the territory Českokrumlovsko and district Freyung- Grafenau

The aim of this paper is the issue of landscape planning. The prin-cipal expressions regarding to the landscape planning, such as landscape, landscape plan, landscape planning and landscape character, will be de-scribed on the basis of literary research. The literary research will further deal with analysis of articles written by foreign authors, who write about landscape planning in their country of origin. The chosen regions will be analysed in one separate chapter in terms of their comparability on the basis of chosen factors, such as coefficient of ecological stability, land use etc. Finally will be explored the possibility of application of the Ba-varian landscape planning model for the region Českokrumlovsko. This will be done through structured interviews with representatives of select-ed municipalities in the Czech Republic and representatives of landscape planning in the Bavarian district Freyung-Grafenau.
The quality of life of children with allergy in Český Krumlov

This bachelor thesis deals with the potential influence of allergies over children's well being in several domains of quality of life. It is specifically concerned with pubescent children between 12 and 15 years of age living in the Town of Cesky Krumlov and its surroundings. The theoretic part is concerned with the source and the problems of the allergic disease and definition of the terms, pubescence and quality of life. The practical part of this bachelor thesis is focused on the research of the allergic children's quality of life in the importance health and diurnal rhythm domains. The Questionnaires were created for the research of GAJU project ?The psycho-social Indicators in comparison to the Circadian rhythm? for the purpose of measuring the quality of life of children and young adults. The selection of several questions from two standardized questionnaires creates the methods of research. Socially oriented questions were taken from the Quality of life questionnaire Cummins (1997), ComQoL ? S5. Questions related to circadian rhythms were selected from the questionnaire Circadian typology CIT (Harada, Krejčí, 2010). The results of this research were compared to the results of another qualification thesis which was concluded by the colleagues Vašinová, Librová, Bláhová and Křesťan (2012) from the Faculty of education at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.
The comparison of accommodation facilities in two selected destinations

This thesis analyzes the conditions for providing services in the destination Českokrumlovsko and Lipensko, then process control and hard and soft factors in the management of the accommodation facilities in selected areas. First part of this work contains the objectives and the methodology of work, after the bibliographic search, in which is explained the concept of tourism, accommodation and food services, leisure time, destination and an outline of the organizations involved in tourism. Than follow own work, where are characterized selected destination, comparison accommodation services in these areas in terms of number, category, bed capacity and ancillary services. Next chapter is devoted to evaluation of questionnaire on which basis, field investigations and personal experience was selected accommodation as an example of good practice for others and with owners made author controlled interviews. At the end of the work is given the possibility of support from EU funds.
Tourism and recreation in Český Krumlov region

This work attends to the area of Český Krumlov. The chief aim of mix work was to evaluate the current state of tourism in the choosen area. The big attention ia devote assessment of the strukture of assumptions for tourism. Through questionnaire research the current customers were assessed. For this evaluation there were examined the image of individual sites, the intensity of feelings, experienced by visitors, the perception of the sites, operating activities and the motivation to visit the area. The last aim was to assess opportunities for further development of tourism in the service area.
