Pastoral service to ill and dying. The Logotherapy contribution to the poimen

In my thesis, I focused on the topic of poimenic in the care of seriously ill and dying in biblical context and specialized care, with respect to the tradition of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church, which includes the concept of spiritual care and theme of sacraments. I described the spiritual needs of the sick and dying, the means of this care for them, which are: interview, prayer, sacraments, and an accompanying person. With regard to the target group of the topic of my thesis, I deal with psychotherapeutic approach of logotherapy: the context of its establishment, the importance of the author, by the very meaning of the term and the idea of the values of V. E. Frankl, the topic of freedom and responsibility, tragic triad and techniques of this psychotherapeutic school. In conclusion, I mention the benefits of logotherapy in the pastoral care of the seriously ill and dying.My thesis shows the importance of poimenic and logotherapy in the service of seriously ill and dying. Logotherapy enables the patients to understand their life story in a deeper way. It can also serve to an accompanying person, in his/her service, his/her life and understanding of the seriously ill and dying, to whom he/she comes. Life and work of P. Pio. Social and charitative aspects.

The thesis deals with the life, work and socio-charitable aspects of Father Pio of Pietrelcina. It is composed of three individual sections. The first chapter provides information about the life of the Italian Saint. It discusses the life events and his work and also the important people in father Pio's life. It just briefly outlines the historical period of the twentieth century. The next chapter, in order the second, is focused on two major social works of Saint Pio, of which he is the founder. It discusses the clinic "Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza" and "Prayer groups". Both of these works have been prospering and continuing to flourish nowadays. The third and last chapter is devoted to social aspects of life and personality of Father Pio. It describes the sense of humour, charismatic gifts, sacrament of reconciliation, suffering, prayer and Marian veneration, correspondence and also the popularity of the saint Pio of Pietrelcina .

History of the Congregation of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Jablůnka from the eighteenth through the twentieth centuries

This thesis deals with the origins and subsequent historical development of the Congregation of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Jablůnka, particularly from the eighteenth through the twentieth centuries. The first part describes the period before the issuing of the Patent of Toleration and its announcement and implementation, particularly in the context of Protestants in Jablůnka. The second part focuses on the nineteenth century; the transformation of a filial church in Jablůnka into an independent Parish church is also discussed. Another event mentioned is the founding of a confessional school and its transformation into a state-run primary school. The third part is devoted to the twentieth century, the pastors of the church and the specific spiritual trends that have influenced the functioning of the community. Future prospects of the congregation are outlined in interviews with its members.
Interpretation on the prayer from the Catechism of the Catholic Church viewpoint with focus on the work of the social workers

The thesis deals with interpretation on the prayer, relation to prayer and prayer´s methods of the priests and the social workers. Further, the thesis deals with opportunity of the cooperation between the social workers and priests; it defines the form and the scope of their cooperation. The first part defines the prayer, methods and forms of the prayer according to Catechism of the Catholic Church and book named Life from trust; it compares the texts of these books. The practical part determines: What is the prayer for priests? How the prayer is perceived? What prayer´s methods are preferred by the priests and social workers? It analyses the size of the cooperation between the social workers and priests with regard for relation to their trust. It maps the form and the scope of cooperation between the social workers of the relevant organization and priests from the client's spiritual needs point of view. Further, it describes main social groups, which is finding help from the priests, and what type of the questions and needs are they solved. It describes main types of the organizations, which cooperate with the priests with regard for meet their material and spiritual needs.
