Development of digital literacy in primary school education

The bachelor thesis deals with the search for the possibilities of developing digital literacy in primary school subjects focusing on the digital competence of communication and collaboration in the sixth year of primary school. The theoretical part defines the concepts of digital literacy and essential digital competence, which was added as the seventh key competence in the revision of the Framework Curriculum for Primary Education in 2021. Subsequently, the relationship between these two concepts and the context of their emergence is explained. An overview of the learning outcomes of the curriculum areas of the FCE Framework usually taught in the sixth year of primary school is based on an analysis of a few selected school curricula. In addition to the materials needed for the pupil's advancement in digital literacy, the DigCompEdu European Framework of Digital Competences for Educators is also summarised. This defines the digital competencies teachers need to have to develop digital literacy in their pupils correctly and effectively.
