The Danish System of Out-Of Home Care
Otřísalová, Kristina ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Koláčková, Jana (referee)
This dissertation tries to deal with differences and similarities in Danish and Czech system of out of- home care. It describes the system of out-of-home care in Denmark and compares some particular topics with the system of out-of-home care in Czech Republic. This comparison should serve as an inspiration for the Czech system, which in many ways needs to be improved. It may be a bit surprising, that the share of children, who are brought up in different kinds of out of home care is about the same in Denmark and in Czech Republic. Where these two systems differ is the balance between different types of out-of-home care. The Czech system still deals with a big amount of children in different types of residential care rather than in foster care or adoption. The other big difference is in the matter of how the systems are organised in general. Danish system seems to give bigger emphasis on the personal responsibility and ability to make a right decision about the future of a child or a young person, which is then not needed to be examine by another authority. Strong emphasis is put on the responsible work of each local authority. Danish system is also more systematical than the Czech one in the matter of social work with family of the placed child and systematic work with the child's case in general....

The Importance of the Social Part of Hospic Care
Běťáková, Martina ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Kuchař, Radomír (referee)
The dissertation covers the importance of the social part in hospice care. The main task was to find out if, and in which way, this social part in hospice care is realized, because hospice care is a combination of both health staff service and social service. The theoretical part of the thesis provides information about hospice care and describes five of its basic characteristics. Moreover it elaborates in more detail on its social aspects. The empirical part contains the evaluation of the questionnaires, that were designed to find out if the staff nursing and other workers like the pychologist, pastor, volunteer or welfare worker communicate with the patients. It investigates what is the most difficult problem in this communication, how much time they are talking to each other, and also what is the topic of their conversation. After a final evaluation of the results, it is possible to state that the social part in hospice care is very important. Not only for patients, but also for the health service. At the beginning of my work, I` d like to define the death and dying and to point out the historical changes of these concepts. Next part of my thesis is dedicated to the whole hospice care. I specify the concepts; history and present of the Czech and worldwide hospice care. In the main part, I focused on operation of Hospice Strasburk and mobile hospice Cesta domu. The Succession Between Social Care and Institutions for Children and Youth
Family Centre as the Way from the Social Exclusion of the Mothers at the Maternity Leave
Buzková, Jana ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Mašát, Vladimír (referee)
The motherhood is the most beautiful period of live for most of mothers. The possibility to have a baby and be with him every time is the best what they can have, but this period is no only beautiful, happy time. A lot of mothers, who are on a maternity leave, can have several problems, which can make mothers' lives less happy and beautiful and sometimes very sad and lonely. The situation in our society seems to be better for singles or people without children. They can better do their own career; they can better work, than mothers with babies. That is why they are in public opinion " more useful" than families with children. When a woman have a baby, it is more difficult to find a job for her, because nobody (almost) wants to employ a woman with small child, who will be probably ill very often and the woman will have to be at home with him. The situation of mothers with babies is not very good sometimes for those who are at home and do not find a job, too. It is difficult to go somewhere with baby-coach or with crying baby. It can happen, that these mothers have to hear, their child is noisy and they baby-coach takes a lot of space, from people around. The possibility of meeting other adults is less then it was before. There is small possibility to go to a theatre, a cinema, a gallery, as well. The fact,...
Home Hospic Care and Modern Society
Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Bednářová, Natálie ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on work with children and youth who come from a socially disadvantaged and culturally diverse environment within the scope of their leisure time with regards to their future employment within a society. Primarily, the thesis discusses a positive influence on socialization of children and youth by activation programs in the context of low-threshold-organized streetwork and social work. I am interested in this kind of problematics and I have been working as a volunteer in this social field. I draw on my personal experience, which is connected to a concrete locality. I build my bachelor's thesis on my personal conviction that activation programs aiming on target group of children and youth in the context of low-threshold-organized street work and social work might play a crucial role in prevention of social exclusion.
