The theoretical part deals with children's drawing. It refers to the historical interest in children's visual expression and the possibilities of its use for research, diagnostic and healing purposes. The core of the thesis is a quantitative-qualitative research investigation with children divided into groups according to their experience with hospitalisation. The tested sample was established from healthy children from primary schools and ill children hospitalised at children's departments in hospital. The children drew according to the given instruction with an addition of written notes or dialogues over the drawing. The final results were compared with the present research.
