Electrochemical Characterization of Self-Assembled Monolayers Containing Redox Switching Element
Nováková Lachmanová, Štěpánka ; Kocábová, Jana ; Vavrek, František ; Sebechlebská, Táňa ; Šebera, Jakub ; Kolivoška, Viliam ; Lukášek, J. ; Balzer, N. ; Valášek, M. ; Hromadová, Magdaléna
Adsorption properties of molecules containing [Ru(terpy)2]2+ and [Os(terpy)2]2+ redox switching element connected to the electrode surface by tripodal thiolate anchoring groups have been studied together with their charge transfer properties in the adsorbed form. STM-based current-voltage measurements confirmed that the conductance of self-assembled monolayer containing [Os(terpy)2]2+ redox switching element is lower than that containing [Ru(terpy)2]2+ element. This observation agrees with previously observed differences in the electron transfer rate constants of these molecules in their adsorbed state.
Electrochemical Characterization of Molecular Conductors Containing Redox Switching Element

Electrochemical properties of new molecules containing tripodal anchor and redox switching\nelement have been studied by cyclic voltammetry and DFT quantum mechanical calculations.\nComparison of their redox properties with individual organometallic [Ru(terpy)2]2+t3+ and\n[Os(terpy)2]2+t3+ redox centers shows that covalently bonded tripodal anchor does not\ncompromise the reversibility of a redox process and has no effect on the stability of new\nmolecules. New molecular conductors have smaller HOMO-LUMO gap and both are oxidized\nat only slightly more positive potentials after tripodal substitution making them suitable for the\ndevelopment of molecular conductors with switching abilities.
Musical Choirmaster as a Interpretive Advisor
Balašová Trčková, Jana ; Tichá, Alena (advisor) ; Valášek, Marek (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to map the development of a musical as a musical genre, on the basis of historical and social background. Within the frame of this context, the work attempts to follow the variable function of the choral parts of a musical. The goal of the thesis is to demonstrate the development of the interpretation of musical choirs, using particular choir examples. These theoretical bases will lead in to concrete recommendation for the work of a musical choirmaster. The second part focuses on the role of breath in the interpreter's preparation for the performance.
Musical Life in Česká Lípa Region After 1945
Bendová, Eliška ; Valášek, Marek (advisor) ; Stříteská, Leona (referee)
Česká Lípa is a district seat located in the Liberec region. It had served as an important traffic junction since the Middle Ages because of its situation near the German and Polish borders. Thus, cultural customs and traditions of neighbouring countries and especially of the German majority had played a significant role in cultural events in the town and its surroundings. After both the World War I and the World War II, old residents and also new incomers endeavoured to re-establish or build a new background for the town's social life. Despite the fact that the majority of the post-war period was affected by the communist regime, the citizens set up clubs, organized competitions or festivals and by doing so, in many cases, they unknowingly built traditions that have been preserved till present days and are living inspiration for new generations of Česká Lípa inhabitants. Both the work of our ancestors and their legacy is extremely valuable cultural heritage. Due to the limited range of the diploma thesis and the author's specialization, this thesis focuses particularly on musical institutes and choirs in the region Česká Lípa. Unfortunately, the extant materials do not cover all musical activities, ensembles, personalities and events related to them since the World War II. It is worth mentioning...
Chorals in the Past and Nowdays in Ústí nad Orlicí
Barvínková, Lenka ; Pecháček, Stanislav (advisor) ; Valášek, Marek (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes the history of choral singing in Ústí nad Orlicí, focusing on its influence on the contemporary musical enviroment. The thesis clarifies the role of choirs in the musical history of Ústí nad Orlicí and lists all choirs and vocal groups that have worked in the town, including those that are active today.
