It focuses not only on its history and architectural style, but especially on the possibility of its rescue and potential related steps in the coming years. The work thus tries to point out the importance of cultural heritage protection in a wide range and to highlight the need to save the material documents of our culture.
Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage - Global Strategy for Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List

Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage - (Global Strategy for Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List This work will follow 18 years of implementation of Global Strategy for Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List, which should ensure diversity of monuments inscribed to the World Heritage List. Twenty-two years after the signing of Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, ICOMOS organization pointed to over-representation of cultural properties and underrepresentation of natural and mixed sites as well as over-representation of properties in developed regions and underrepresentation of those in developing world. Main aim of Global Strategy is to balance these cases and also work on credibility and representation of the World Heritage Convention. Outcome of this work will be an evaluation of application of Global Strategy, its shift during 18 years of its existence and an evaluation of effectiveness and usefulness of it. The Slavic Epic as a task of architecture

The work at hand deals in a broader way with the placement of the Slavic Epic from an architectural point of view. The author first focuses on the role of historical monumental canvases in relation to the formation of the national identity and looks in this respect at some Czech monumental canvases before the Slavic Epic was painted. Another chapter deals primarily with the Slavic Epic. It presents a detailed view on a difficult process of finding a tailor-made exhibition space for the monumental canvas from the point Alfons Mucha started with its painting until the present time. It also shows specific demands on a building in which the Slavic Epic should have been placed. The next chapter presents all projects that have been made so far to build a new exhibition space for the Slavic Epic. Based on the analysis of this work the final chapter describes author's own ideal proposal of a complex architectural solution of the exhibition space which also encompasses exhibition management and marketing.
The sustainable development of historical monuments in Prague

Title: The sustainable development of historical monuments in Prague The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the influence the visiting of sights in the Prague Heritage Reservation on their condition and sustainability and to submit possible suggestions for improvement. In addition to these proposals, new possible outcomes will be added to improve the situation in the future, further new marketing products, strategies that would lead to the expansion of the sustainable development of the monuments and the care for them. The teoretical part deals with the general definition of the concept of Prague Heritage Reservation, basics statistics of tourism and the monument care itself in Prague. Another integral part of the thesis are marketing and demarketing strategies regulating the flows of visitors, which are used by individual institutions. The practical part consist predominantly of a quantitative survey, from the answers were obtained during a multi-year survey among the visitors of he city of Prague, in order to find out especially the motivation of foreign visitors to travel to Prague, the most visited places and also whether tourists are satisfied with visit. Post-war confiscation in the context of monument preservation

This thesis deals with the fate of the confiscated monuments nationalized by presidential decrees (no. 12/1945 and No. 108/1945) in 1945 within the Liberec region. The first part analyzes the wider cultural and historical milieu of the region, especially phenomena related to the expulsion of Germans and the issue of postwar confiscation generally. It focuses on the actual effect of the decrees issued by President Benes and also on the process of the establishment of state institutions for administration of confiscated property. The following part of the work is dedicated to the system of national administration of confiscated property of high artistic value (especially objects which belonged to displaced families). This part of the thesis is based primarily on preserved documents of the state organizations operating with the confiscated property after World War II, such as the National Cultural Commission (stemming from the so called Reinsurance Commission), or the State Heritage Institute. These sources include various directives, transfer protocols, correspondence, etc. Overall, the aim of the thesis is to provide a detailed analysis of the process of systematical gathering and administration of a property seized from displaced persons in a particular region in Bohemia. Current policy and course of Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage The dissertation "Current policy and course of Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage" will focus on current policy of UNESCO in Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (the Convention), reflection of its recent past, current situation and future visions. Dissertation will mainly follow implementation of Global Strategy for Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List, which significantly influenced the policy of the Convention and other strategic plans accepted by State Parties. Global Strategy significantly changed demands on the nomination documentation, nomination process and listing of new properties in the World Heritage List in past few years. These changes are also closely related to the participation of Advisory Bodies of the Convention (ICOMOS, IUCN, ICCROM) on national and international level. Zdeněk Wirth and the influence of his work on keeping the record of the monuments

The introduction to the bachelor's thesis "Zdeněk Wirth and the influence of his work on keeping record of the monuments" is dedicated to the figure of Zdeněk Wirth as a historian of art and one of the founders of the state cultural heritage management in Bohemia. Zdeněk Wirth was active not only in the technical-scientific way but also in the way of organization, including directing the system of the cultural heritage management on the central level. Shaping of his future interests is indicated, mapping the extensive work with the emphasis on the thought of the cultural heritage listing. The thesis is not focused only on his person, but tries to bring the most complex view on the environment and the era of the first half of the 20th century from the point of view of the cultural heritage management. By that is indicated the context for the following cardinal part of the work, which is dedicated to the evaluation of the cultural heritage listings` influence on the creating of cultural heritage records according to the law.
