The Influence of the Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation on Pain in Burnt Patients

SOUHRN Název práce: Ovlivnění bolesti transkutánní elektrickou neurostimulací u popálenin Cíl práce: Cílem této diplomové práce je poukázat na možnosti využití transkutánní elektrické neurostimulace (TENS) v léčbě popálenin, potvrdit předpoklad, že aplikací TENS dojde ke snížení vnímané bolesti, sledovat analgetický účinek v čase a dále pak sledovat další možné účinky TENS u popáleného pacienta v post-akutním období. Metoda: Tato práce byla zpracována formou kazuistiky. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty poznatky o stavbě a funkci kůže, popáleninovém traumatu, neurofyziologii a teorii bolesti. Dále je uveden přehled teorie transkutánní elektrické neurostimulace. V praktické části byla vybranému pacientovi aplikována transkutánní elektrická neurostimulace. Tento pacient byl 32 dní po autotransplantaci kůže ventrální plochy paže a předloktí pro popálení 3 % tělesného povrchu, III. stupeň. Fyzikální terapie mu byla doporučena pro bolesti a parestezie transplantovaných ploch. Terapie probíhala 3-5krát týdně do celkového počtu 15 procedur. Hodnocení intenzity a charakteru bolesti provedl pacient před 1. terapií a po skončení 15. terapie formou vizuálních analogových škál (VAS) a krátkou formou dotazníku bolesti McGillovy univerzity (SF-MPQ). Rural family and household

This diploma thesis analyzes the life of rural families of the village Nehvizdy. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis explains the basic concepts of work, such as family, lifestyle and countryside. The theoretical part is based on the study of available scholarly literature.
The main objective of the diploma thesis is to clarify whether and to what extent rural families live a traditional way of life and how this way of life coincides or differs with the new satellite district residents of the investigated village. An empirical probe was used for these purposes.
Data collection was conducted by anonymous questionnaires. The results of the survey show that the difference between new and old residents of the village is not very big. The original inhabitants of the village prefer the traditional rural way of life, devote most of the time to the domestic economy and cultivate a field or a large garden only a little more than new satellite district residents. The new immigrant population of satellite district also practice some of these activities. Residents of the satellite also slightly more prefer public life over family life. Overall, residents of the original buildings prefer traditional principles and forms of rural life more than new residents of satellites.
A secondary objective was to determine what importance the family value system has in the local population. The results of the survey show that the family is very important for both original and new residents.

Analysis of Financing Research and Development in the Czech Republic

The topic of this bachelor Thesis is an Analysis of Financing Research and Development in the Czech Republic. Research and Development (R&D) plays an important role in improving the competitive ability of the Czech Republic, for it constitutes a source for increasing productivity, economic growth and employment. The results of R&D lead to creation of new products and services, which in return increases the quality of life of the Czech citizens. This bachelor thesis focuses on analysis of financing R&D in the Czech Republic. The objective is to find out who finances R&D in the Czech Republic, where do these funds go to, and what they are used on. This thesis also focuses on R&D employees and R&D departments in which they work. The bachelor thesis is concluded by comparison between the R&D data for Czech Republic and other countries form the Europian Union.

The theoretical part deals with the use of rainwater in the building as the process water and the experimental determination of the flow rate and water needs for the manufacturing and storage hall with built-office. The calculation part deals with the design of variants of plumbing and gas installations in the building manufacturing and storage hall with built-office. The practical part contains a design and project documentation of selected variants plumbing and gas installations in the manufacturing and storage hall with built-office, and the use of rainwater in this type of building.

Production process optimization

This diploma thesis deals with the production process optimization. The cutting operation and the lathe-turning issue is described in this thesis. In the practical part the production process is analyzed, the designed experiment (DOE) is suggested and evaluated. In the end of the practical part there is the evaluation of the machined material in the light of microstructure. On the basis of the partial findings the enclosures are done and the recommendations leading to the production optimization are suggested.

Sanitation installation and gas installation in a apartment block

Bachelor thesis contains a design the sanitation installations and gas installations in the apartment block. The theoretical part deals with the use of rainwater in the building as the process water. The part of calculations and the project includes a design the storm and sanitary sewers, internal water supply systems, gas installations and design of connections to the existing conduit of technical equipment. The building is designed in the gap between the existing neighboring buildings and consists of three floors and a basement.

The diploma thesis deals with the economic evaluation of the investment into en-ergy- efficient concepts of buildings and with the economic evaluation of the op-timization of the current energic solutions. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a general tool in MS Excel for the economic evalution mentioned above. And consequently is to execute the test of this program in terms of application on the real case study. The results are simulated in Crystal Ball based on Monte Carlo method to eliminate the risk of uncertainty.

Segmentace na trhu jogurtů

Cílem této práce je na základě vybraných metod a s použitím primárních i sekundárních údajů odhalit podstatné diference mezi spotřebiteli na trhu jogurtů. Tyto diference pak použít k odkrytí segmentů, rozvoji jejich profilu a určení atraktivity těchto segmentů. Nakonec je přidáno určité doporučení pro další marketingové aktivity na daném trhu.
