Canadian media: history/genesis and present/contemporaneity
Vránová, Vendula ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Vochocová, Lenka (referee)
The thesis is focused on key canadian media - print, radio and television, in the individulal chapters I'm trying to describe their development as it is during the formative years and influenced, and what role it plays in today's Canada and which one of them has a privileged position in the country. Before that I was trying to deal with the history of Canada to clarify the roots all Canadian journalism and the media occurred. I also give attention to some selected major Canadian media personalities, whether those from the past and the present, who are in some way involved on what is today Canadian journalism, or the form of it's today. My attention did not miss either: the French-Canadian journalism, which about their form and the place on the map of the Canadian media fought for centuries. Its center is the Canadian province of Quebec. In my work, I also discuss how journalism is taught at several Canadian universities, how much of them offers a learning program and how they teach it. Whether the emphasis is more on theory or more practical. I write also about media education, which has been several years in Canada's history. Last but not least, I tried to map the Czech track in the Canadian media and specifically designate some of expatriate media that readers can find in Canada.

Changes of mares milk contents during lactacion
VRÁNOVÁ, Vendula
The objective is to determine the composition of mare´s milk at different stages of lactation and changes in its content that occurs during lactation. Variability of constituents in the milk contents between mares and possible link in the content of individual components of milk was also examined. Average values of contents were found during the five months of lactation: Fat 1.5%, protein 1.62%, lactose 6.55% and dry matter 9.78%. It was found that during lactation fat content decreases from 1.7% to 1.3% and protein content decreases from 1.75% to 1.48%. Lactose and dry matter content is unchanged. A higher coefficient of variation was found in fat and protein (between 16 -17%), lower in lactose and dry matter content (5-6%). Relation was found between protein and fat. On the contrary, no evidence of correlation between protein and lactose content, nor between the fat and lactose content was found.
Quality of mare's milk
VRÁNOVÁ, Vendula
Work is aimed at assessing the quality of mare´s, its composition and changes in composition during the first ten days of lactation. Very different data of the composition of milk can be found in the literature, therefore the goal was to compare the literature data and verify the possibility of monitoring the quality of colostrum and mare´s milk. The work provides an overview of the identified values of the individual components of milk compared with the indicative values obtained by analysis of two mares milk. Individual differences were clearly identified in fat content, protein, casein, lactose, urea, and the number of somatic cells in colostrum and milk during the reference period. Work demonstrates the need for detailed and extensive monitoring of milk composition
