The Development of Local Government in the Municipality of Klatovy

This thesis is entitled The development of local government in the municipality of Klatovy. The main aim of this work is to analyse municipal policies and political mechanisms in local self-government within the election period since 2014 to 2018, and to identify unique aspects of self-government particular to this locality.
This project has been divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part outlines basic concepts relating to municipality, local self-government members, municipal election processes, formation of coalitions, and civil and political participation. The practical part is focused on the town of Klatovy: socioeconomic indicators, summary of election results since 1994, characteristics of local municipal policy during the election period since 2014 to 2018, self-government members and relationships between them, and their co-operation in the running of the municipality. This work also focuses on current problems in local municipal policy and possibly solutions.

The Analysis of Manager´s Directing Style in Administration

This Diploma work characterizes managerial styles of the managers in public administration. It is divided into two structure parts. In a theoretic level, the work introduces and describes themes such as management, manager, managerial positions, managerial functions, management styles, communications, motivation, delegation and public administration.
In the own part of Diploma work the knowledge from a theoretic part is applied to analyse the management style in public administration. The analysis was made by a controlled interview with chosen managers. From these controlled interviews the information was taken, from which was prepared a summary and a recommendation. In these interviews each manager evaluated his own manager style.
On the basis of results from these interviews the manager style was classified to each manager. After that everything was commented and the recommendations were declared, how to practise the manager style to the best final labour effect.

Information systems of secondary education

This dissertation Information system of secondary education deals with a practical application of the information system used at the Secondary Vocational school of Gastronomy and Business in Prague, which mainly aims at the presentation of an overview, exploitation and assessment of information systems for secondary schools and based on a questionnaire survey suggests a solution to the given situation.
The theoretical part of the thesis shows a summary and application of the information systems for secondary schools based on secondary research of literature and available sources. The practical part is primarily targeted at research concerning practical application of the information system. The other part refers to a needs analysis of the pedagogical staff referring to the application of the school IS in the form of a questionnaire survey. Subsequent improvement proposals are made based on the outcome evaluation.

Project management and its application in business practice

The thesis aims to apply project management principles within the framework
of the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization. Project management
is one of the options for effective management of the company and its processes.
For that purpose, it was necessary to study the management structure in Railway Infrastructure Administration which was subsequently analysed within the companys change management process for specific conditions.
A partial objective hereof is a detailed analysis of an individual project implemented by the company with the use of project management tools. Based
on the findings obtained, proposals on ways of improving the quality of future project management will be presented.
The thesis presents an assessment of the situation with respect to the planned objectives, and proposed measures or solutions to improve the efficiency of the changes
as suggested.

Proposal of bad debts optimalisation from the accounting and tax point of view

This diploma work is focus on the bad debts management and bad debts prosecution in the company operating in fast moving consumer goods business segment. In the work there are mentioned the accounting and tax aspects related to bad debts and their correct performance with the allignment of corporate income tax legislation and provision law. The specialised literature and the basic tax and accountacy principles, which are described in the theoretical part of the work, were studied for this work. These principles are applied on the practical cases which are designed to cover all typical problems from bad debts area including correct accounting and tax solution. The tax legislative requests for bad debts are arranged to clear scheme that can cover decision steps in particular phases of bad debts. Based on the practical cases and studies of the bad debts management in the company were recommended steps which can lead to simplification of bad debts evidence, to correct creation of tax provisions and to use the cession of bad debts which have not been already used.

Economic analysis of selected towns and villages

The thesis discusses the problems of the budget management of the town Lazne Belohrad and the township Mlazovice. These are two differently populated municipalities located in Hradec Králové region with many features in common. The thesis monitors the period from 2007 until 2014.
Literary research of the thesis is focused on local public administration and briefly outlines the structure of public administration in the Czech Republic, local government budget and including its structure and generic classification.
The practical part first characterizes the town of Lazne Belohrad and township Mlazovice, including the history, demographics and overall social and economic characteristics. There is a thorough analysis of the revenues and expenditure, including specifically selected indicators related to the economy of the town and township. For the sake of completeness, it is enclosed the results of elaborated anonymous survey which concerns public awareness regarding the finances and economy of the city and township. Based on the conducted analyses, there are proposed options for improving the economic situation of the town of Lazne Belohrad and township Mlazovice.

Analysis of managerial styles within a business

This Diploma work deals with the issue of managerial style of the managers. The aim is to
analyze managerial style of managers of enterprise Dransy, compare these styles and find
the most suitable one considering the position of managers within the hierarchy and their
team roles.
The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part contains
characteristics of terms of management and manager and definition of managerial roles in
the enterprise. There are also described individual managerial styles in this part of the work.
Practical part deals with analysis of managerial styles, comparing these styles and based on
this analysis and comparison the most suitable style is suggested considering the business
climat, culture and the position of managers in the company.

Financial analysis of chosen enterprise

The bachelor thesis focuses on evaluation financial situation of chosen enterprise PROMAT CZ spol. s r.o. for the years 2010-2014. Information about the condition of financial health of the company will be got effectively through the application different kinds of methods, models and indicators of financial analysis.
The first part of the thesis focuses on characteristics of basic terms related to financial analysis and her important methods and indicators, which will be used next in the practical part of this work. Firstly, in the subsequent practical part are introduced company, her line of business and history. The financial analysis itself is processed by using horizontal, vertical analysis and analysis of ratios based on the financial statements. The horizontal and vertical analysis has shown that the company uses especially an equity capital
to finance their own tasks and that is not endangered by any debts. Follow-up analysis
of ratios has assessed the company as slightly overcapitalized. For this reason the company should focus on improving the management of short-term financial resources. On the basis of calculation of solvency and bankruptcy models the company can be described as being solvent and not endangered by insolvency in the near future.
The complex financial analysis shows that the PROMAT CZ spol. s r.o.
is long-term stable and affluent company.

Public Areas of Seats Exemplified on a Study of a Chosen Region

This work deals with the assessment of the public areas in the municipalities Svítkov, Staré Čívice, Lány na Důlku and Opočínek. These municipalities are the part of urban district of Pardubice VI and they are under its administration. In the theoretical part -- in the literatury research -- there is shown a summary from the specialist literature deals with problems of public areas of country seats and their problems, a development of civilized landscape, with greenery and vegetation of country, landscape character and its protection, popular landscape and methods of solutions to these problems. The evaluation of the statements was carried out on the basis of the conclusions from the literature research of the facts. The field research deals with the Pardubice bioregion from the point of view of the basic statements, location, rocks, relief, climate, soil, flora and fauna, the present condition of landscape and its protection. The historical analysis illustrates the evidence of cultural and historical conditions of the chosen area. The central public areas in the particular municipalities were analysed in the composition analyses. The project part of this work deals with the central part of the municipality Opočínek. On the basis of the gathered information, analyses and inventory of woody plants, a revitalization study of the village square in Opočínek was worked from the standpoint of construction and aesthetics. An economic evaluation of the project, gardening and construction works was elaborated for the proposed study. The revitalization project of this area improves its aesthetic, hygienic and stay functions. The new village square will be turned into a natural place for meeting of local people and it will enable to use this place for short recreation and relaxation in a pleasant environment.
