Optimization of electricity consumption in intelligent digital housholds
Gomola, Roman ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Kaláb, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the optimization of power consumption in an intelligent digital home, where the appliances are powered either from a distribution network and also from the photovoltaic source owner. The optimization of consumption we will see both economically and in terms of load distribution network. Renewable power supply operates in a green bonus. Optimization is done using the backup system and the unit Home Manager by SMA. Backup system in collaboration with the batteries will store power from photovoltaic sources, if you're not consumed by appliances in the home. Since it may be a smart home, which is performed by means of inteligent wiring components and accessories (Inels system from the company ELKO EP), is possible thanks to intelligent multimedia extensions and appliances also optimizme consumption.
Multiplatform audio player
Henzely, Július ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on problematic of creating applications based on multiplatform framework. This thesis also includes fundamental theoretical knowledge about relational database system SQLite, which has been used in a practical part of the thesis. Programing of multiplatform audio player which could be used in speech-language pathology clinic is essential portion of the practical part. Player was enhanced with the database of patients and ability to generate XML files.
Online reservation system for laboratories and equipments
Točený, Ivo ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of a clear reservation system using a web interface for laboratories and laboratory equipment with the possibility of creating reservations with and without repetition, bulk reservations, tracking current reservations, canceling and approving reservations, account management and generating pdf dynamic documents using PHP, Nette, HTML, CSS and SQLite database system.
Installation, configuration and testing of server services www, e-mail, DNS and SAMBA in IPv4 and IPv6 environments
Dosoudil, Petr ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to show how to put server services like www, e-mail, DNS and SAMBA into operation within operating systems Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Debian. The theoretical part is focused on description of individual services and principles of their functioning. The chapter is furthermore supplemented by known problems of TCP/IP, including layers and differences between IPv4 and IPv6. In the practical part, there is specific way of implementation of every service suggested, i.e. how to deal with installation and configuration of those services for selected operating systems. Outcome of this bachelor thesis are detailed instructions for laboratory tasks, which are intended for students of Brno University of Technology. Tasks are designed to be solvable even by students who are less experienced and less acquainted with the subject.
Adaptive Noise Cancellation Headphone
Panenka, Vojtěch ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the analysis of technology used during the design of headphones with integrated active ambient noise cancellation and examines the possibilities of using adaptive filters to simplify development and achieve more effective attenuation.
Parallel implementation of Goertzel algorithm
Skulínek, Zdeněk ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
Technical problems make impossible steadily increase processor's clock frequency. Their power are currently growing due to increasing number of cores. It brings need for new approaches in programming such parallel systems. This thesis shows how to use paralelism in digital signal processing. As an example, it will be presented here implementation of the Geortzel's algorithm using the processing power of the graphics chip.
Database of acoustic records
Terz, Marek ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The databsae of accoustical recordings is a web-based application, which is accessible with an usual web browser. There were used technologies, that are ussually used in web applications. This ensures, that the application is open for using by wide range of users. The application enables uploading WAWE files to the server and allows the user to add various description of the recordings. The application allows also comparing the quality of recordings, which were processed with some method for highlighting the accoustical signal from noise. This function is established by listening tests, which are open for every user, who wants to join the tests.
Psychoacoustic model of human hearing
Lepa, Ondřej ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with human auditory system and psychoacoustics. Deals with psychoacoustic model of standard MPEG following the norm ISO/IEC 13818-3, Information technology - Generic coding of moving pictures and associated audio information Part 3: Audio. Closer look is given to determination of PAM, to methods of masking and what potential of masking it has. Next the simple computation of psychoacoustic values is~done in Matlab environment.
Audio processing in BeagleBone AI
Bateško, Tomáš ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This masters thesis deals with Texas Instruments AM5729 processor that combines ARM and DSP core used on BeagleBone AI kit. It describes instalation and configuration of development toolchain and explains concept of heterogenous processor communication. Then uses this knowledge and tools in order to implement application where ARM core running Linux uses DSP core as coprocessor for realtime audio processing.
Perlin noise functions for generation of textures
Jakubíková, Radka ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with Perlin noise function in theoretical and practical way. Procedural textures can be generated by Perlin noise function. Perlin´s algorithm has many advantages, for example natural appearance, smaller demands on memory capacity and possibility of simple application on cubic objects. It is for these reasons that this technique is widely used nowadays in many varieties and improvements. We can meet these kind of textures mainly in computer games or animated movies. It is possible to create procedural textures by Perlin noise function so that they look like marble, wood or grass. Examples of these textures are generated by a program which is in the practical part of this work. The program was designed for simple presentation of procedural textures made by Perlin noise. Program can be operated via user interface, where the user can change some parameters which affect the look of the texture. The program can be used for presentation of Perlin noise to students.
