Preparation of genetically modified plants bearing the gene for bacterial dioxygenase for phytoremediation of toluene and other organic pollutants.
Klonování bakteriálních genů důležitých v životním prostředí do rostlin
Nováková, Martina ; Macková, Martina ; Sylvestre, M. ; Chrastilová, Z. ; Macek, Tomáš
Constructing plants with increased capabilities to degrade organic pollutants by introducing bacterial genes bphC and todC1C2 into plant genome is described.
Metabolické produkty degradace PCB a jejich osud v rostlinných a bakteriálních buňkách
Frančová, K. ; Sylvestre, M. ; Macek, Tomáš ; Macková, Martina
The work studies the metabolism of PCB and their intermediates in microbial and plant cells.
Příprava transgenních rostlin pro efektivní fytoremediaci toluenu a dalších organických polutantů
Nováková, M. ; Macková, M. ; Sylvestre, M. ; Chrastilová, Z. ; Macek, Tomáš
The bacterial gene todC1C2 coding toluene dioxygenase was introduced into plant genome using pGreen vectors and Agrobacterial transformation. The enzyme with wide substrate specificity is improving the biodegradation ability of transformed Nicotiana benthamiana.
Biologické odstranění PCB z kontaminované půdy
Beranová, K. ; Macíček, M. ; Macková, M. ; Macek, Tomáš ; Sylvestre, M.
The effect of different plant species on the presence and activity of PCB-degrading microorganisms in real contaminated soil was followed after 7 months cultivation. The presence of microorganisms containing gene bphA was investigated after direct isolation of DNA from soil. Microorganisms were identified by 16S r DNA gene. The biodiversity was studied using TTGE.
Následky interakcí mezi rostlinami a mikroby ovlivňujících osud xenobiotik v životním prostředí
Macková, Martina ; Vrchotová, N. ; Beranová, K. ; Najmanová, J. ; Lovecká, P. ; Kochánková, L. ; Sylvestre, M. ; Demnerová, Kateřina ; Macek, Tomáš
The effects and consequences of plant-microbe metabolic interactions influencing fate of xenobiotics in the environment.are discussed, illustrated by our results on PCB degradation by microflora in plant rhizosphere.
