Criminal custody as a means of ultima ratio Abstract This diploma thesis deals with a custody in criminal proceedings as an institute which should, due to its strong intervention to personal liberty, be used in the uttermost cases. Although this conception has been enforced to the legal theory and also to the czech legislation for many years, it is necessary to state that practice has considerable reserves in this respect. With respect to planned recodification of criminal procedural law which could reflect needs of aplication, this thesis tries to look at custody in a broad scope focusing on options of subsitution of custody. Due to the fact that the custody cannot be perceive only within the limits of criminal law, the first chapter is devoted to guaranteed freedom on the constitutional level, i. e. personal freedom. To understand a context, the development of this fundamental freedom is briefly described. This thesis also submits its conception on the international and national standards. In relation to the custody, this chapter includes the solution of whether detention restricts personal freedom or deprives individuals of it. The Current Economic Crisis and the Prospects of Euro Introduction in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with the prospect of introducing the euro in the Czech Republic under the actual circumstances. The process of entering the Economic and Monetary Union is described, as well as the criteria comparison of nominal and real convergence and the hitherto development of fulfilment of conditions for introducing the euro in the Czech Republic. The other part of the diploma work compares, according to some chosen data, the development of Czech and Slovak Economies in 2004-2008, when both countries had their national currencies, and in 2009 when euro was introduced in the Slovak Republic. The aim of the analysis is to show, whether it is more beneficial for the economy to introduce euro in the current economic crisis and the prospects of euro introduction in the Czech Republic.

Analýza závislosti výše přidělené dotace v oblasti kultury na výši vynaložených nákladů na tvorbu žádosti o tuto dotaci

Tato práce se věnuje otázce financování soukromých neziskových organizací v obalsti kultury. Jednou z možností je financování prostředky získanými z dotačního řízení. Aby neziskové organizace mohly dotaci získat, musí nejprve podat žádost. Cílem práce je analýza nákladů, které musí organizace vynaložit na tvorbu žádosti, v porovnání s výší získané dotace. Analýza byla provedena mezi žadateli o jednoleté granty na odbor kultury Magistrátu hl. města Prahy. Někteří podávali své žádosti i na Ministertsvo kultury ČR a do programu Culture2000, programu Evropské unie. V práci jsou uvedeny dotační procesy u jednotlivých institucí.
