Determination of musk compounds in biotic matrices
Soukupová, Alena ; Mravcová, Ludmila (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with actual issues of the contamination in the environment with synthetic fragrances. Musk compounds are infiltrated to many environmental components (especially an aquatic ecosystem) because of their biological persistence and the ability of accumulation. This diploma thesis is focused on the selection and the optimization of method for the determination of musk compounds in real biotic matrices (fish). The isolation of analytes was realized by PSE method and the purification of extract was realized by the method of the adsorption column chromatography. Identification and quantification of individual musk compounds was carried out by GC-MS. In conclusion were results and the contamination of fish from the river Svratka disscissed and evaluated. These fish were caught at the inflow and at the outflow of the wastewater treatment plant.
Evaluation of methods for determination of surfactants
Soukupová, Alena ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the methods used for the determination of surfactants. On the base of literature search the review of possible methods applicable for the determination of detergents in the surface waters and wastewaters was set up. The theoretical part presents the definitions of the surface water and wastewater, possible sources of pollution are discussed and methods of water cleaning are listed. The definition and classification of various classes of surfactants is also included. This work is theoretical; therefore the evaluation was made on the basis of the information obtained from accessible literature. The evaluation of the discussed methods is given in the conclusion.
Pedagogická komunikace ve výuce odborného výcviku z pohledu žáků
Soukupova, Alena
The bachelor thesis is focused on pedagogical communication in teaching of vocational training from the point of view of the pupil at secondary school. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The aim of the theoretical part is to define basic communication and other concepts connected with it. Specifically, it focuses on pedagogical communication, the rules of this communication, the main actors in the role of the teacher and the pupil but also on efficiency and inefficiency of the mutual rela-tionship between the subject and the object of the educational process which is then reflected in the process of communication. The theoretical part uses the method of anal-ysis of reference literature, comparison of different expert theories and then the final synthesis of acquired knowledge. The aim of the practical part is to find out how the communication between the voca-tional training teacher and pupils goes, what are the main difficulties and shortages in this communication, from the point of view of the pupil. The survey is conducted through a questionnaire. Respondents are pupils of the first and the third year of the hairdresser field at selected secondary school in the South Moravian Region. The data from the questionnaire are statistically processed into tables and graphs. Results and the recommendations for pedagogical practice will be drawn from the findings.

Basal stimulation in pediatric intensive care units
SOUKUPOVÁ, Alena
This diploma thesis deals with basic stimulation, specifically in intensive care units. Basic stimulation is a holistic method that approaches the patient as a whole. It views patients as individual beings with specific needs that make them different from others. We use basic simulation to enable people with physical or mental disabilities an easier integration in life. When taking care of patients within the framework of basic stimulation, we take their habits, manners of communication as well as experience into consideration. We make use of everything that an individual perceives as pleasant and is used to. When using the elements of basic stimulation we stimulate the individual whom we thus enable to perceive his or her bodily boundaries and surroundings, we facilitate his or her communication with the surrounding world and his or her return to becoming aware of his or her own ?I? ? of who I am actually. The objective of our thesis was to find out whether nurses working at paediatric intensive care units apply methods of basic stimulation in their profession and what attitude they adopt to it. Further, we investigated whether the parents of hospitalised children have information about basic stimulation, and again, we were interested in the attitude parents adopt to this method. To achieve our objectives, we chose both the quantitative method, by means of an anonymous questionnaire that we handed out to nurses at paediatric intensive care units, and the qualitative method, by which we obtained information from the parents of hospitalised children by means of a semi-structured interview. Our respondents were the above nurses from paediatric intensive care units and the parents of hospitalised children. We have found out from our results that despite the fact that basic stimulation is not applied by all nurses we interviewed, it is a widely used method in the care of patients and it brings quality results in care. The nurses adopt, in most cases, a very positive attitude to this method. They find improvement and calming in their patients. Although basic stimulation is a frequently applied method, some parents of hospitalised children have not heard of it. The parents got involved in the care of their children with pleasure, also when elements of basic stimulation was applied. The nurses were very often willing to teach the parents these elements. The parents regarded basic stimulation in nursing as very beneficial and observed its positive effect on their children.
Medieval Disputes between soul and body and their form in the Baroque period
SOUKUPOVÁ, Alena
The present bachelor thesis presents the poetic ?Disputes between soul and body?, written in the Czech language in the 14th and the 17th century. These are: the First, the Second and the Third dispute between soul and body, two baroque translations of a Latin poem Visio Philiberti (called respectively Dialogus, that is a lamentable and tearful dispute of a damned soul with its body and Dispute of a damned soul with its body in front of a pilgrim) and finally the Internal War between Soul and Body, a song by Adam Michna of Otradovice. The main object of the thesis is an analysis of these literary works with respect to the literary context of their period, and their comparison. The thesis contains also a short discussion on eschatology and how the death was perceived in these two periods. A complete copy of all six discussed (medieval and baroque) literary works is attached.
Informedness of stomia patients before the surgery
SOUKUPOVÁ, Alena
In this bachelor thesis, we discuss the awareness of ostomates prior to an operation. The awareness and education is considered an integral part of quality and professional care for the patient. If the patient receives sufficient and comprehensible information, they become part of treatment, diagnostics and overall health care process, thus assuming a proactive role in their health care. The objective of our thesis was to find out how ostomic patients are informed prior to an operation and map the education process and compare information for a planned and acute operation. A quantitative method was selected to achieve the objective, using an anonymous question form. We approached ostomic patients as respondents. The results show that even though awareness has quite improved since the past years, deficiencies are still seen in many cases. Some information is not understood or sufficient for the pacient. As we expected, patients coming for a planned operation are better informed than patients arriving in acute cases. But in spite of an acute operation, the patient should be briefed and educated. The education process prior to a resection operation is again Better quality for planned operations. Unfortunately, pacients coming for an acute operation are deprived of such education. The education process can make the patient less afraid and their vision of future life is clearer.
Supporting the client´s selfreflection in following a diet regimen
SOUKUPOVÁ, Alena
Thesis on the theme Client{\crq}s self-reflection support during observing dietary regime is divided into two parts. The problems of dietary regime and self-reflection is mapped on the basis of studied literature in a theoretic part. Practical part deals with a research which is focused on nurses` supporting client{\crq}s self-reflection during observing dietary regime or whether clients use a self-reflection during observing dietary regime and whether their family members support them. The research was made with a method of questioning, questionnaire technique, in hospitals in České Budějovice, Písek and Příbram and was aimed at three informant groups.
