Artistic tendencies of Cinematographers in the Czech between the wars and protectorate film

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze creative approaches in selected art major feature movies that were shot in the early sound era by the cinematographers worked in what was then Czechoslovakia. Were selected seven movies representing the most significant creative achievements of almost all cameramen, who at that time in our country worked. The movies are conquering to an analysis of their visual aspects sequentially by the premiere in the movie theaters. Individual works are generally first evaluated using the views of contemporary critics and then they are already subjected to photographic composition and design analysis. In the graphic annex at the end of the thesis is then possible to see reproductions of selected film stills including illustrated film posters from preserved advertising materials.

Hand-held camera

This work treats the hand- held camera shooting as mean of expression in cinematography. Partially the text is composed of historical and technical evolution of hand-held camera work.
The description of using hand-held camera in way of dramaturgical construction of the film is done with help of several specific examples coming from different genres.

Flying Cinematography

Diploma thesis deals with methods and facilities of shooting in the air using film or video media. First of all it give´s attention to present-day technologies and comparison between them. These technologies are helikoptr, models, paraglide and rogalo, balloon. It place special emphasis on feature and documentary cinematography.
