Use of Forced-Use Therapy in stroke patients

Title of bachelors thesis: Use of Forced-Use Therapy in stroke patients Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with Forced-use therapy, which is used in neurorehabilitation of the upper extremity in stroke patients. The most common symptoms of stroke included upper limb paresis, therefore in neurorehabilitation are alway looking for new methods, which include the FUT. The basis of this therapy is restraint healthy limb, which is achieved by use of the paretic extremity. The basic question this work is whether is FUT effective upper limb in neurorehabilitation of patients after stroke and whether improvements persist after termination of therapy. Bachelor thesis consists of theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part is conceived as a research drawing particularly from foreign studies. This section contains an overview of studies that discuss the effectiveness of FUT. The practical part contains two case reports documenting the examination and treatment of patients after stroke through FUT. The Quality of life after revascularisation management

Bachelor's thesis is focused on the quality of life after revascularization procedures. The aim of the theoretical part of this thesis is to conceive a view on measurement of quality of life, different methods of its measurement and factors that can influence it. There are also summarized the diagnostics of arterial disease and risk factors that can negatively influence the health status of human population. Prevention, treatment and different kinds of revascularization procedures are accented. Crux of the thesis is made by quantitative survey (by questionaires) focused on the influence of the disease and its treatment on the quality of life. The sample of population examined here is formed by 50 respondents, who have undergone a revascularization procedure in "Pardubicka krajska nemocnice a.s." at the period of time starting 10 years ago up to1 month ago and who are periodically attended at the outpatient clinic of this hospital.

The diploma thesis is called The Historical Development of Handwriting and it is divided into the theoretical and practical part with the attachments. The theoretical part discusses an overview of handwriting from the early origins of Latin until now in The Czech Republic and also in the world. The theoretical part also explores the contiguous pre-Latin stage. Furthermore the various types of historical writing and scientific principles of characters are analyzed. The diploma thesis distinguishes current school conception of learning the handwriting itself and mentions the project of new school handwriting. The practical part is supported by attachments where both of the above mentioned handwriting could be found.
