Use of laser scanning head for surface hardening
Jedličková, Veronika ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
The diploma thesis addressed the issue of laser surface hardening using dynamic oscillation of the laser beam. The theoretical part presents the hardening technology and suitable using of laser equipments. The fiber laser YLS 2000 was used in the experiment and the hardened material was steel 12 050, which is suitable for laser hardening. The influence of two selected parameters of the scan head on the resulting structure and hardness of hardening layers was examined. Based on the results, the choice of optimal parameters for identical conditions with the experiment was recommended.
Friction welding of materials
Chrást, Daniel ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
Práce se zabývá zkoumáním svárů z materiálů AISI 316L a TI GR2.
Welding the frame of the tandem bicycle
Rajm, Vojtěch ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
In the first part of thesis were compared frames of two different bicycles and according to this comparison was designed a geometry of tandem bicycle. In a next part were described the most common materials in cycling industry and theirs advantages and disadvantages. According to the comparison, the steel EN 25CrMo was considered as the most suitable material for its low prize and high strength. After that is described weldability of steels and types of cracks which are one of the most casual defects in welded materials. In another part of thesis are theoretically described kinds of suitable welding methods for bicycle frames. As the most suitable are methods in shielding gases MIG/MAG and TIG. As the best method was chose TIG welding. In a practical part of thesis are compared these methods experimentally. Tubes from selected material were welded by MAG and TIG. The TIG welding proved again as better because of deeper and tough welds.
Optimalization of the welding process for low - pressure tubular sets
Urbánek, Štěpán ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The diploma thesis examines the implementation of the production process of low-pressure pipe sets for hydraulic aggregates in the company Bosch Rexroth. The first part presents a literature analysis of used technologies and basic welded materials. The second part focuses on selected subprocesses ensuring the production and proposals for their streamlining. It includes a summary of responsibilities across departments and a template for processing the necessary technical documentation for the smooth running of production. Another proposal includes a technological procedure for practical verification of the production, which simultaneously serves as a basis for measuring the welding time. The reason for the implementation of this production was the extended delivery time of pipe sets from suppliers and possible financial savings. The practical part is concluded with a technical and economical evaluation, which expresses the possible financial savings in the production of low-pressure pipelines instead of the current state involving the cooperation with suppliers.
Qualification of welding procedure for aluminium alloy AW-5083 H111
Krejza, Jan ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the qualification of welding process of aluminum alloy EN AW-5083 H111. This aluminum alloy was used to make a Venturi tube. Therefore, a literature review has been developed dealing with the properties and use of aluminum and its alloys. The next chapter deals with the weldability of aluminum, aluminum alloys and the weldability of EN AW-5083 alloy. Part of the work is devoted to the used TIG method and its specifics when welding aluminum materials. The practical part of the thesis deals with the actual qualification of welding procedures according to the relevant standard and evaluation of production conditions according to the product standard. The last chapter deals with the overall manufacturing process of the Venturi tube.
Welding of steel C45
Hála, Kamil ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor‘s thesis is to propose a suitable welding parameters for a small part of steel C45. This steel contains a high percentage of carbon and therefore is difficult to weld. Gas shielded arc welding techniques were considered to be used, and from such techniques, the TIG method seems to be the most advantageous one. For this technique were suggested three groups of parameters and the most suitable one was chosen to be used for the production. The option chosen is of a welding power I=40 A and with preheating 200 °C. The component is made in the single-part production in SAAB Czech s.r.o.
3D metal printing by robot
Tvrdoň, Radek ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The diploma thesis presents an overview of additive production technologies and a summary of technologies used for 3D metal printing using a robot. All of them are generally described and at the same time assigned to their specific commercial use, or the academic research that deals with them. The work examines the suitability of the material EN ISO 14341-A: G 3Si1 for 3D printing, for which a modification of the Col Metal Transfer technology, Cycle Step is used. The experimental printout of the sample is evaluated on the basis of surface and mechanical tests. Capillary test, examination of microstructure a macrostructure, tensile test and microhardness test. All of them were satisfactory and the suitability of the welding wire for 3D printing was confirmed by the given technology.
Wear resistence of cladding
Pagáč, Aleš ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The subject of this Diploma thesis was study of wear resistant deposits, including appropriate basic and filler materials and welding technologies suitable for a particular application of hard carbide overlays of blade mixer for foundry sand. Analysis of suitable filler materials focused on extreme abrasion and select tungsten carbide hardfacing, together with a selection of appropriate overlays welding methods for welding tungsten carbide, including the conditions and parameters surfacing. The practical part deals with the design and evaluation of the experiment, three samples welding of non-alloy structural steel, tungsten-carbide hardfacing, technology MCAW - WC flux cored electrode in protective active gas.
Workability study 3D metal printing as technology for prototype plastic parts manufacturing
Kovář, Tomáš ; Herčík, Tomáš (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the feasibility of metallic 3D printing. The 90MnCrV8 tool steel die is time consuming and expensive to manufacture by conventional methods. When considering the use of a die for a maximum of 50 pieces of moldings, it is possible to choose a material other than tool steel. From the offered possibilities of metal 3D printing, 2 suitable methods were selected, namely SLM and WAAM, where the WAAM method appears to be cheaper. Available materials for steel replacement 90MnCrV8 are metal wire G4Si1 for WAAM method and stainless steel X2CrNiMo17-12-2 for the SLM method. After listing all the options and evaluations, it can be seen that the feasibility of metallic 3D printing as a replacement for conventional tool production is possible.
Welding head of the longwall shearer
Adam, Karel ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the structure and purpose of the longwall shearer drum to descriebe the technological process and to design the technology. Shearer heads are made by welding, MAG method with a protective atmosphere of CORGON 18 (18% CO2 + Ar) was selected. Increasing the strength of the knife holders, made from steel 15 230.3 to 1600MPa and welding to the helical segment of S355J2 + N steel, these clamps cracked cold. An error has been detected by reviewing the entire process and performing calculations. The preheating temperature was too low and was therefore increased to 270 ° C along with the stay for 2 hours at this temperature. Part of the thesis is a sample of the test weld of the rupture holder.
