Programme "Volunteers in hospitals"

In the theoretical part the bachelor work defines the needs of patients and the relation between a volunteer and illness. After that follows an explanation of the definition of voluntarism and types of voluntary activities.This is followed by a presentation of legislation, which deals with the contemporary problematic of voluntarism in the Czech Republic. Next part describes detailed development of the voluntary programme "Volunteers in hospitals" in our republic. Main attention has been paid to the realisation of the programme "Volunteers in hospitals" in the Regional hospital in the town of Liberec. An empirical investigation continues after the theoretical part. That surveys the affection of patient's mental condition by the volunteers. My respondents were the patients and attendants in the hospital department, where the programme "Volunteers in hospitals" has been realized. The result of this bachelor work is to demonstrate the usability of such established voluntary work as a part of quality granted by the nursing care.
The risks in medical care, their monitoring and prevention

This Bachelor Dissertation deals with the topic of medical care risks, their monitoring and prevention, with a special accent on the area of medical documentation and the role of this documentation in the process of risk management. It mainly tries to survey the level of knowledge of medical documentation content among the nursing staff and concerns with the most frequent risk factors with which the nurses meet within their practice. At the same time, on the basis of the obtained data, it points out the necessity of systematical approach to the issues related to the content and purpose of the new form of documentation. The research which the Dissertation draws on was conducted at surgical departments of a district hospital in the region of Pardubice.

It would be almost impossible to summarize everything about violence in one sentence. Here are some important points. Aggression is one of the prime topics in medical spheres, not only in the Czech Republic but also in the whole world. In earlier days, there weren't given any proper definitions of violence, hence it's very difficult to compare, whether there was more violence in the past or nowadays. In some cultures (for example: Muslims) mild violence is tolerated, mainly, if is committed on women. It is necessary that more government institutes deal with this problem. Certain correction of legislation in medicine is needed to protect its workers in their jobs. It is an obligation of an employer to guarantee a safety of his employees. For a job well done and a satisfaction of employees and for the happiness of patients it is extremely important, that all employees are qualified and in appropriate numbers. Legal aspects of the nursing profession

This title of the thesis is "Legal aspects of the nursing profession". The theoretical part of the thesis describes legal liability, nurse's rights and duties arising from the practise of the nurse profession determined by legislation. This part of the thesis is also focused on the Law about nonmedical care professions. The empirical part of the thesis target the survey of knowledge and adoption of the legislation in practise. At the conclusion there is an evalution of the concrete findings arising from the empirical part.
