Geological mapping of the Landscape Protected Area Žďárské vrchy Highlands in a scale 1:25 000. Map sheets: 13 – 443 Chotěboř, 23 – 222 Herálec, 24 – 112 Jedlová, 23 – 223 Přibyslav, 24 – 113 Nové Město na Moravě, 24 – 114 Dalečín, 24 – 131 Bobrová
Kirchner, Karel ; Roštínský, Pavel
The report, whose elaboration was the subject of a contract between the Czech Geological Survey and the Institute of Geonics CAS, compiles information on basic morphostructural characteristics of the area of Žďárské vrchy Highland within map sheets of the Basic Map of the Czech Republic in a scale 1:25 000 mentioned above (the sheet Bobrová was situated within the area under study only in part), related to major geomorphological units. Information mentioned were, first, based on a study of available data and archival materials about Žďárské vrchy Highland and, second, on a new field research. An important part of the report constitutes a brief description of interesting geomorphological localities for every map sheet (altogether 26), chosen to involve major geomorphological phenomena and document particular phases of landscape evolution of the given area (included especially structural, fluvial, cryogenous and athropogennic landforms). On the basis of the choice, a schematic map of geomorphological localities of the Žďárské vrchy Highland was created in a GIS, including also 6 map sheets elaborated in a year 2004.

Information mentioned were, first, based on a study of available data and archival materials about Žďárské vrchy Highland and, second, on a new field research. An important part of the report constitutes a brief description of interesting geomorphological localities for every map sheet (altogether 38), chosen to involve major geomorphological phenomena and document particular phases of landscape evolution of the given area (included especially structural, fluvial, cryogenous and athropogennic landforms).

Programme „ISPROFIN“ No. 215120 „ Maintenance and prevention in areas threatened by unfavourable climatic phenomena“. Subprogramme 215124-1 Documentation and mapping...
Kirchner, Karel ; Roštínský, Pavel
The report, whose elaboration was the subject of a contract between the Czech Geological Survey and the Institute of Geonics CAS, compiles basic information on a space distribution and characteristics of slope deformations within Basic Map of the Czech Republic in a scale 1:10 000 sheets No. 25-43-01 and 25-43-02 (Zlínsko region) in a form of map and tabular outputs, supplemented with explanation text (comprises objective of works, applied methodology (after Rybář et al. 1999), general geographical, geological and geomorphological area characteristics, evaluation of outputs including hazardousness determination of every locality for human activity objects, conclusion and references).

Influence of land-sliding on the relief of the NE part of the Vizovická vrchovina Highland
Kirchner, Karel ; Roštínský, Pavel
Altogether, 10 maps in a scale of 1:10.000 documenting slope deformations in the NE part of the Vizovická vrchovina Highland were made in the course of years 2000-2004 during engineering-geological survey (cca 450 localities). 3 main types of land-slides were distinguished, majority of them developed in a deluvial material: 1) land-slides generated in thick coluvial deposits on the slopes of structurally-controled ridges, 2) land-slides in central parts of slopes, being without direct connection to the drainage-network and 3) the most wide-spead land-slides being related to the present fluvial system. The great number (19%) of land-slides is situated in dry slope dells and amphitheatrical valley-heads. These types of depressions represent transitional forms between land-slides and valleys and seem to be evolving through alternating phases of sliding and fluvial depth erosion.

Tectonic style of the SE margin of the Bohemian Massif in southern Moravia and northern Austria
Roštínský, Pavel
The contribution deals with geotectonic position, tectonic configuration and general geomorphology of the south-western section of the marginal part of the Bohemian Massif. The 100 km long marginal flank is formed by the regionally important linear Diendorf fault system of Paleozoic age. During Cenozoic, this old tectonic area was reactivated in transtensile regime as a one of zones compensating different movements between the Eastern Alps and Western Carpathians. Thus, from a kinematic point of view, it can be regarded as a component of the Alpine orogen.
