SIW slot antenna
Martinec, Matěj ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Pítra, Kamil (advisor)
This work is dealing with the design of waveguide slot array antenna and SIW slot antenna with coaxial and microstrip feed operating in 5,6 GHz frequency in Wi-Fi frequency band of IEEE 802.11ac standard. For design of these antennas were used calsic methods and each of this parts were optimised in CST Microwave Studio. In this programme were optimised parameters of each part to occupy widest bandwidth of antenna, which was in conflict with the proper function of antenna. All antennas were compare between each other in light of selected parameters and suitable antenna has been chosen.
Modeling of planar coupling circuits
Valošek, Josef ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with modelling of the planar coupling circuits, namely type of the wideband couplers and the ultra-wideband couplers. The purpose of this thesis is an analysis, a synthesis, a numerical modelling and a fabrication (only chosen types) of the presented couplers. All of the couplers works on medium frequency f0 = 7 GHz with coupling C = 3 dB. Types of the substrate are Arlon 25N and Arlon AD600. EM simulator IE3D and circuit simulator in program Ansoft Designer are used for the numerical modelling. The realized wideband couplers were measuring by the vector analyzer Agilent E3864B.
Baluns
Beran, Vlastimil ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Nováček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The baluns (balanced to unbalanced) circuits are used for connection of symmetrical load (antenna, dipole) to unsymmetrical line (coaxial cable). The balun missing causes the load mismatching to antenna feeder and the antenna parameters degradation as result. There are defined the baluns principle of operation and list of types in this work. The baluns created by short sections lines are the scope of project only. The detailed analysis baluns bandwidth and the type application are described in the second part of project. Several recommendation for baluns design is described as project conclusion including parameters optimalization. The function of the balun was verified by measurement. The relevant results are mentioned in the report end.
Design of 3D Vivaldi antenna array for radar applications
Kašpar, Petr ; Pitra,, Kamil (referee) ; Puskely, Jan (advisor)
This master thesis deals with a design of Vivaldi antenna due to its broadband properties suitable for radar applications. The folding of single Vivaldi antenna element into 2D antenna array we achieved required radiation properties. Appropriate design of feeding structure realized by SIW technology we obtained suppression of side lobes and deflection of the main lobe. The work also includes design of 3D Vivaldi antenna array. Modeling, simulation and optimization of antenna array were performed in CST Microwave Studio.
Vivaldi antenna fed by substrate integrated waveguide
Pavlíček, Rostislav ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with Vivaldi antenna design fed by substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). The first step in solving is focused on design this antenna in the simulation program Ansoft HFSS, where the antenna parameters are optimized gain, impedance bandwidth and minimizing the size of the side lobes. The result is the implementation of Vivaldi antenna structure SIW and compare the results with simulations. The work includes a comparison of simulated and measured parameters realized antenna.

Design of the antenna unit of access point for off-body communication in the 61 GHz ISM band
Miřácký, Jan ; Pokorný,, Michal (referee) ; Puskely, Jan (advisor)
The Master´s thesis deals with the theoretical design, practical numerical analyses and optimalization of disc-like antenna and disc-like slot antenna. The antennas have relative omnidirectional radiation characteristics in the horizontal plane, respectively in the vertical plane. Antennas exploit the substrate integrated waveguide technology. The antennas themselves are designed for the purpose of making the antenna array that will be work as an antenna unit for access point. The antennas are manufactured and experimentally verified. The program CST Microwave Studio is used for simulation in the thesis.
Design of optoelectronic positional sensor
Straka, Radomír ; Nováček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Puskely, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this semestral work is design optoelectronic positional sensor, which can measure current position of measuring line. This position has to be measure very precisely. At first the work describes positional sensors used in automatization. Work study parameters of resistance, inductance, capacity, optoelectronic and ultrasound sensors. Subsequently work choose integrated optoelectronic sensor ADNS-5020, realize with ADNS-5020 circuit for measuring position and realize part processing transmission of signal from sensor to PC with integrated circuit FT232RL. The results of this work are design measuring and transfering circuit for optoelectronic positional sensor, measuring program which have control over designed circuit. Measuring program process measured data of voltage possibly current distribution on the line and create tables and graphs with calculation reflection coefficient and impedance from data.
Antenna for in-car UWB communication
Špůrek, Jan ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the design of a wireless UWB network inside a car. The project is divided into three parts. In the first part, we describe the design of suitable antennas and feeding structures. The second part is focused on the simulation of a reciprocal communication for each type of the antenna in free space. In the third part, we investigate the effect of interference caused by near parts of the car for each type of the antenna. The results are then evaluated and the most suitable antenna is chosen for realization. The fourth part describes modifications of the antenna for SMA connector, which is necessary for measurement. In the fifth part we discuss measured results and compare them with assumptions from simulations. Results of the thesis are summarized in the conclusion.
Flexible substrate antennas
Sedlák, Jakub ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design of antennas based on a flexible substrate. There is also a design of a transmission line between a flexible and rigid substrate with FLEX- RIGID technology. In the first part of thesis, there is the technology, advantages and disadvantages of using this technology in design of antennas mentioned. There are also basic antenna parameters mentioned. In second part, the design of a transmission line and four antennas is presented. Two of these antennas are manufactured and measured. Finally, the measured parameters are compared with the simulated results.
