De aeternitate mundi by St. Tomas Aquinas

This diploma thesis "De aeternitate mundi St. Thomas Akvinski" deals with one of the themes that are nowadays more or less omitted - the eternal world. It was one of the greatest intelectual arguments in the half of the 13th century. The result of those arguments was the clarification of the relations between theology and philosophy. The intense of these disputations led to the restriction of philosophical studies at university in Paris. Two groups of learners arose there. Not only were there philosophical disputes between these groups of scholars, but also political ones. We observe the life or a saint in this discomposed era. The saint, that looks for the truth honestly and for this fact he is criticized by both groups. It might be the reason why the publication De aeternitate mundi the brilliant and balanced work about our problem. A small diamond that glitters in the darkness of history.

Juxtaposition of problems the relation grace - freedom by saint Augustin and saint Bernard The work is splited into 4 sections. First part hold forth on topic of grace on progress in Roman Catholic theology. Author addict himself closer to perception of the grace in the Bible, which is the basic criterion of the whole issue.Furthermore, the Author is monitoring various thought lines in Patristic theology. There is an interesting passage about the eastern teologian Maxim Confessor. After the period of Patristics the Author follows up the query in theology of Scholastic and Baroque time with an ephassis dedicated to tomism and molinism -up to date still relevant school of Grace.The end of the First part is devoted to the benefit of Karl Rahner's life-work. In the second part there is a short Curriculum Vitae of Augustine of Hippo and his train of thought related to the theme of Grace. After characteristic of Pelagianism he continues with analysis of Augustine's work "On Grace And Free Will". In the third part there is a concise Curriculum Vitae of Bernard of Clairvaux and his place of importance in the ending Monastic theology.
