Outdoor activities and sports courses at secondary schools in the Nymburk region

Title: Courses of outdoor sports and activities in high schools of the Nymburk district Aims: The primary aim of this work was to map the offer of courses of outdoor activities and sports in high schools of the Nymburk district. Methods: The results for this work were collected by the for of questionnaires. Seven high schools from the Nymburk district were included in the research of this work, with either personal or electronic communication. The questionnaire contained 17 questions and the collected results were analysed using standard statistical methods. The final findings were visualised and interpreted using graphic charts. Results: We have determined that all the surveyed high schools offer at least two outdoor courses for their students. Private schools offer the most nature activities and sports courses - 6 and 4 courses. The most common offered course was a ski course, which was available at all the surveyed high schools. It was also the most popular course among the students (85,7 %). The second most frequently offered course was an adaptation course (85,7 %), and a 57,1 % of the surveyed schools also offered a water touring course.
